The “stand while scrolling” tip is amazing. I will eventually start leaning on something or try to sit down which will remind myself that it’s time for a break from the screen. The longer I sit, the faster the time goes by.

here to remind u
I like this video, but it's actually so sad to notice that we're now getting so used to scrolling through social media in our free time that we have to watch a video in order to find an inspiration for things one could do instead.
Yes. We have our whole lives and we spend it all on social media. We can do anything. ANYTHING WE WANT. In this world and we spend our time on Tik tok. It's sad
YES I THINK THE SAME AND SOMETIMES I WONDER WHY I DO IT:(
Man i genuinely just realized this
I totally agree. I quitted Tiktok and Instagram (my only socials) a couple of months ago and thanks to this I really realised the hurt that social media leads towards mental health. My creativity has arisen a lot since then, I discovered my love in writing and now I'm more in peace with myself. So life-changing :)
Yes, I totally agree!
"Just put down your phone and do something fun and productive"
*cries in ADHD and keeps on scrolling
SAME
i reccomend finding creative things to do that are relevant to your hyperfixation! i like to do music or draw or write about whatever im into, i have friends who have made 20 page documents about facts on the moon just out of interest. ADHD can be used to do super productive or super creative things- no pressure i know it's really hard but sometimes it makes me feel successful haha
@@laurabid that's some really nice advice, thank you :) However I think it works a bit better for people still in school or uni where it is more acceptable to spend time on yourself. It's really hard to feel productive about extensively researching different ways of baking white bread in order to develop your own recipe for the perfectly fluffy but also sturdy sandwich bread that doesn't contain wheat... When really you're expected to make money, put dinner on the table, take care of responsibilities 🥲
THISSS, I literally just get this feeling of being frozen and I can't stop using my phone, even tho I know I want/need to do something ughghghghg
I don’t have ADHD I told my mum and she’s refusing to help me
stuff ive been doing lately
-skateboarding

Yo are we twins or something?! Because those are my current interests as well! Haha it's pretty funny but also cool to find someone on the internet who has exactly the same interests as you. I'm currently trying to improve in drawing, have been practicing guitar, skateboarding and watched some anime.

@@Flwerrr_lunarosetta stone is expensive but helped me a lot when first starting out. Pimsleur is another app for when you're further advanced, it helps with pronunciation and conversation. Lingvist is a vocab app that helps you learn new vocab. Don't use google translate, it's rarely correct-- I use deepL (if I remember the name right) and reverso context. For online resources, I would say look up the 200 most common nouns, verbs, adjectives, make a quizlet, study them until you know them thoroughly and continue memorizing other vocab. Learn to conjugate verbs. Learn everything to do with gender and grammar rules as soon as possible because it gets complicated. Memorize pronouns in different tenses. Practice your accent by watching native german youtubers speak it and try to replicate it. Also looking up german news websites and reading the articles outloud to yourself is so helpful. Read books, start with children books, underline all the words you don't know and learn them. Watch german movies and put your native language as the subtitles. Learn common idioms. Hope this helped! I know I didn't give specific channels but just one search brings up a lot of reliable sources. German is def a language you can self-teach through online resources because it's so easy to find content.

From jan 2023..
- I started decluttering one part of my house or room when I'm free.
- I listen to slow music or podcast or may be a minimalism vdo on youtube and do the organizing and decluttering as it doesn't make me bored of the work I'm doing.
- I'm loving to journal at night and morning.
- I always keep my cupboards clean and organized.
- when I use my phone I quickly come back to declutter my phone [ emails, old messages, images, cache files, stuff I don't need on my phone] this helps my phone to work well.
- I clean my fridge twice a week. And by listening to a podcast.
- I make digital illustration when I'm free but not frequently
- I dance when I feel like doing nothing and it helps me so much to cheer up my mood.
Since then I only check youtube play something and make my self busy.
And I love how this vdo is made. Atleast people can have a realization how much of talent and time we are wasting on internet just by scrolling.

venti hol up u seem rlly familiar, were u part of a resort reality shifting server?
A quick tip that got me out of short form content thing, which i was in for like a month, dont immediately stop but rather gradually stop.
Step 1. Only watch yt shorts and when you do only watch from the recommended section (by clicking the recommended video and then scrolling down from there),
Step 2. After a few weeks (like 1or 2) click the dots (bottom right or top right i dont remember) and click on "not interested", on every shorts thats on your recommended (nit every single row, just every short in any row) when u refresh you should see that your recommendation page has got no shorts, if you they pop up do it again and they will be gone forever!
And since you will be used to watching from the reccomended, the shorts button shouldnt restart your addiction
Things I try recently:
1. Learning a language, for example, I'm starting Chinese
2. Write some lyrics or even produce a song
3. Start a challenge with your friend and do it everyday
4. A simple workout... just for fun
5. Watch movies. This way, you scroll less
6. Play video games
7. Just take a nap
When you find this by mindlessly scrolling: *Reality can be anything I want*

Great video! Gonna apply some of these habits to my new self. Love how everyone is posting their own stuff they like doing. I enjoy cooking, having a relaxing morning and walking at the beach, drawing and doodling, talking to my parents and writing on my journal.
Something that helps me to actually stop the scrolling is moving the location of my social media apps! I was surprised to see how often I click by default, just as muscle memory when I don't know what to do. Be sure to move them around frequently if this is working for you so you don't get used to the new spots
This is a great idea! Thanks!
Thanks!
yeah I’ve removed tiktok from my Home Screen so it’s still downloaded but I rarely use it cause I don’t see it when I open my phone
@@elinorrose344 haha same i moved it the the farthest screen and now I haven't used it in a month despite being like addicted to it before
Love this idea, thank you!!💖

🌈Some more suggestion from my part🌈
1. ❤️Listen to classical music ( you might think it's not for you but believe me, I thought that too. But now I'm listening to it whenever I'm studying. It's really helpful while your studying for exams or reading and that sort of things. ❤️
2. Watch some award films. I would recommend Satyajit Ray's films like Patherpanjali or Akira kurusowa's Seven samurai (also Rashomon),💫
3. Try watching ballet. Swan lake, nutcracker and Giselle are some of the common ones💞
4. Dancing to kpop songs 💌
5. Writing down your dreams ( you may not remember every dreams, but try to write whichever you remember
6. Try lifing things. Anything would be fine.
7. Write a review for a book you read or a film you watched. It's not necessary to post it, you could just keep those with you ✍️✍️
8. Try nail art. There are different tutorials online.💅💅
Hope this helps to whoever sees this 🥰. Have a nice day ✨
I really enjoy live classical music! such a lovely and relaxing experience
Thank you all SO MUCH for these comments, as well as this video. I know a lot of people needed this as well as myself 🤭
Me, a procrastinator: Ooh, that sounds fun to try out. If only I could get myself out of bed...
**ends up moping around for 2 hours**
It helps me to turn on music
THE LIGHTS OMFG I’M IN LOVE WITH THE BEGINNING
Ikr!!! It's just so aesthetic!!
Even when my summer has long gone past, I still find this greatly helpful! Also, I occasionally look at interesting store products to fulfill my shopping cravings, like window-shopping, but online.
Two days for my entrance exam and I've been having the worst anxiety/sadness (I'm not even sure) attack of my life. Decided to distract a little and found you!
Thanks! Your video made me forget for some moments my oppressive thoughts, and with your positive ideas I feel way more confortable to deal with things for now and calm down. I remembered I have a trip to an old friend's house to look foward to, and hopefully I can use some of your tips to do with her!
Sorry if this was a bit too much, but thanks again anyway :)

Finally ideas that aren’t making me feel like I’d go insane doing them. Someone actually recommended organizing these plastic, ironing pearls. I want fun, not even more boredom haha. I loved your recommendations, and you are a lovely person as well. I left a sub after just watching one video!
My 2 hours timelimit just stopped my endless scrolling on Insta. I've been eating, doing some yoga, watching a movie, cleaning the kitchen and taking a shower since then. Now I'm here :)
the fact that im currently scrolling endlessly through the comments.
Try never getting bored of your room. I find decorating it a new way every week or so helps a lot with my creativity and motivation. Print out pictures of any kind (I have a bunch of memes on my wall) and put them up! Get some fairy light and put them where ever you like! And you might as well clean your room while you're at it, maybe even renovate a little!
Do this with any room in your house, so next time you bring over a guest you'll have a bunch of things to show them.
Side note: if you have trouble with motivation try using the "I might as well" method when cleaning and decorating. You start by maybe cleaning out your desk or making your bed, you might as well vacuum your floor, and then you might as well wash some clothes, and while you wait for your clothes you can do the dishes and vacuum the kitchen, and so on. It works great for me. Try beginning with a shower and ending with a cooked meal of any sort.
i have almost no more room on my walls 🥲
@@aaliyahconrad2474 that's when you start on the roof
We only have black and white printer ink 🌝
id love to decorate it too but i dont have one
I love how calming and clearly well thought out this video is. I also love how soothing your voice is, I’ll definitely try and implement some of these into my life.
Ideas:
-get up and do something fun with makeup/an outfit
-draw
-knit
-start a project, a cosplay or an art piece or carpentry something etc
-journal, and have some fun if you want (stickers, doodles)
me: watches the 12 minute video knowing well i won’t do any of it
You, my friend, have earned yourself a like 👍
Yup..

When you scroll, you skip all these opportunities to try something new like making a hat or make special snack for you. I feel like you just skip a bunch of amazing chances you could have done to keep you off your phone or iPad.
Exactly. And I don't even know where to start as it can be really frustrating for me.
yes! i have a really hard time getting myself to do work and stop scrolling through videos and posts, and slowly i start to realise how much time i've wasted. I heard a quote somewhere, "the cost of procrastination is the life you could have lived"
For real i wanna make bucket hat with my old jeans
I think I haven't ever liked a video that fast in the beginning. the quality, tone of voice, way of talking and ideas ALL are a 10
Honestly, this is my first time on your channel but this is so far the best youtube video that actually gives you ideas to challenge yourself to be the best version of yourself. I am subscribing to your channel right now. Thank you very much for your time and dedication. 🧡🧡🧡
Remember when her videos were just about studying? She's grown her channel and herself! Amazing quality as well!

Thank you. Today, I had my final exam and if I have to be honest, I was postponing everything that I wanted to do after the exam. Now, it is that time. I can finally do those things, but I didn't know where to start. I was pretty overwhelmed and started to think about if I was going to waste my whole summer time with mindless scrolling. I really don't want to do that because I feel horrible at the end of the day, yet I do nothing to change that either. I feel I have to be perfect, that's why I do basically nothing.
But this video, helped me a lot. Now, I know that it's all about living. Actually living. Doesn't matter if the thing that you are doing is perfect or not. Doesn't matter if people around you are going to love it or not. Just enjoying it while you can.
Thank you very much.
Things I have been doing instead of mindless scrolling lately :
• reading (I LOVE READING)
•taking online lessons from Universities through MOOC
•playing with my cat
•researching about books
•drawing
•working out
•going on walks
•listening to podcasts
This is a great list!
Cool!
Okayyy im gonna copy and paste this in my memo
I too m a bookworm
You introduced me to MOOC and I think I’m really going to like it. I had never heard of it before but as someone who’s still waiting to get into college, it looks super helpful. Thank you!
another idea: learn how to code! it can be daunting at first but start with HTML and css. those are used for website design and the languages get quirky sometimes, but it's nothing that google can't help you with. and you'll know how to make a really pretty website once you learn enough!
hii! can you recommend some websites to learn html and css?
