- Hornby class 50007 Sir Edward Elgar GWR Green HM7000 Bluetooth sound, first adventure into Hornby TXS sound and getting to grips with how it works, upgraded the sugarcube speaker for an 8Ohm bass reflex speaker and added a driver, very smooth runner and great to be using the phone app to control it and really like the automatic function to play random sounds as it’s running
Yes Darrell, anytime. I have fitted 4 now - to Hornby 31 and 50 and Bachmann 37 and 47. The 21 pin into the Bachmann 47 is really great .. and I only put an iPhone speaker in it as yet. I'm really pleased with these decoders and the downloaded sounds. Roll on the Class 87 and 91! Cheers. Vivian
Excellent thanks, am I right in thinking the speaker can’t be any lower than 8ohms ?
@@darrelldeltic807 Yes Darrell. 8 ohms, same as TTS. I sometimes use two 8 ohm speakers but make sure they are connected in series.
@vivianhughes9347 that’s good to know about using 2 speakers , I’ve not got any paperwork with this one so wasn’t sure what I could do to improve the sound and thought I’d play safe with the 8Ohm bass reflex speaker for now 👍
A very nice sounding loco Darrell. I am tempted to have a serious look at the HM7000. All the best David
Thanks David, I’m pleased with what it has to offer and very user friendly, I was a bit sceptical at the beginning but I’m getting a bit more confident now, value for money and great sounds available, all the best Darrell 👍
Hi Darrell your class 50 sounds stunning mate love the night time running, a perfect way to relax, fantastic video kind regards Danny 👍🏻👀👋🏻🤩
Thanks Danny , really appreciate your kind comments and glad you enjoyed the class 50 having a good run round , cheers mate all the best Darrell
Nice to see you're getting on ok with the HM7000 System Darrell. Atb Graham 👍🙂
Cheers Graham, I think you’ve got me hooked on this system now and once I’ve got a bit of confidence in how it all works I’ll definitely be looking to add some more decoders , gotta say it’s very user friendly 😃👍
That's lovely Darrell. Looks amazing. 👍
Thanks very much for the kind comments 😊👍
Is that you Dave? 🤭
Might be, who's asking. 😂😂
@@EastMidsUK 🙈🤣
Looking and sounding great Darrell. I thought you'd like the Hornby HM7000 system. You can do so much on the app. Great system with decoders at a reasonable price I reckon. All the best. Vivian
Cheers Vivian, I’ll be tapping you up for some advice on the HM7000 as I’m a real novice with it at the moment, but enjoying what it has to offer at a very affordable price, really like the functions showing what does what and being able to adjust things on the go 😃👍
Hi Darrell, I noticed you've built the Scalescene's office block building! I did too, only I adapted mine slightly. I built one, built another and placed it on top......then I repeated building 3 more double height blocks, so eight in all! Then I built four extra full height sides with gullies on them from the kit and then built four corner sections and glued it all together as a massive square tower office block. It took a month to build. It will be appearing soon on my next episode, it's a monster!
I also put the Hornby HM7000 class 50 sound in my Hornby NSE class 50 "Superb". It sounds really good, for the money they are great DCC sound decoders. The supplied speakers are ok once sealed in their back boxes, they do need sealing up with black-tac or glue. BTW Bure Valley Models sell the HM7000s the cheapest and they are a really brilliant retail outlet to deal with. They are a shop which is part of a heritage railway I believe. Anyway, all the best matey.
Regards Julian
I second that Julian, I've bought most of my HM7000 decoders from Bure Valley. It's nice to know you're buying from a heritage line too as well as best price. Regards Graham 😀 👍
Nice one Julian, now I’ve got you and Grahams advice on the best place to purchase these from I’ll be sure to put my money in their direction 👍 that scalescenes building must be something else with all the work you’ve put into it, I think you might be thinking of the office building above the retaining wall but it’s a Bachmann scenecraft building , I’m not confident enough to scratch build something like that 🤭
@@darrelldeltic807Darrell, right at the very start of your video there's a Scalescene's low relief office block sitting right in the middle of shot in the corner on the upper level directly behind the Class 50! I'd know it anywhere, I've built enough of them! Did you buy it as a premade card building? It's not a Bachmann one for sure. Too much beer Darrell? lol..
@@WHP1980s It sure is Graham. I've bought a few things from them and they have been absolutely brilliant every time. I had a dodgy HM7000 and they replaced it without any fuss at all.
BTW Model Railways Direct were selling some of the newly tooled Bachmann class 37s at 50% off earlier. Sale of some 37 models on until Friday. I bought a BR GREEN DCC SOUND DELUXE 35-306SFX for £189.97! They were selling fast though.... MRD have real bargain sales from time to time so worth signing up to their emails!
@@theeventhorizon-valebridge9512 cheers for the heads up 👍

Hey Al 😃 how are you doing? Got to love a class 50 sound and really enjoying the HM7000 Bluetooth on the phone app, just downloaded the app on another phone as I realised I can’t drive the train and film it at the same time 🤣🤣 take care my friend and a merry Christmas to you too 🎄😃👍
@@darrelldeltic807 all good thanks 🙏 ☃️🎄🚂🤗🤗👍🎅
GOOD VID
Cheers 😊
Is this a new loco Darrell? What do you think of the new Hornby controller?
Newish 🤭 came with the txs decoder, very good system and user friendly, thinking for the price of the decoders and the quality of the sound files it’s a no brainer 😃👍
