Something about the greyed out color pallet and the fine detail added by the decals goes a long way to making the RX-78-2 actually look like an honest to goodness war machine. I love it.
Don’t quote me on this but I have heard Tomino wanted a color scheme like this for the gundam originally but due to bandais influence to sell more toys/models he was forced to give it a bright, loud, and heroic color scheme.
For the nub remover set, just use a nano glass file (nail file) and some melamine sponge... look up the vid by Citrus on that. It's cheap and works wonders for straight builds...It might even help paint stick to parts since that sponge leaves a matt ish texture...
That raser thing by gunprimer is way too expensive.

Those razer things look like they work pretty well ... makes me wonder if there is beauty tools that are based on same tech that are cheaper, seems to be a trend with gunpla/modelling tools.
Kit turned out pretty awesome, I like the more subdued colour scheme. Not all mecha needs to be flamboyantly painted.

Wow that gate eraser thing is so dope. Ive been cutting mine off with my exacto knife then sanding. Works ok but definitely doesn't look as nice. Will be picking on up for use on my RG Sword Impulse.

Before panel line with Tamiya you don't make a previous gloss finish... no problem with base colors when you use solvent to clean the lines?
I was surprised by this too. Must be a really strong paint to not be affected by the thinner

The RX-78-02 is one of my favorite designs in gundam. And thats a feat since i usually dont like designs of things that are older
Any reason why u use pink primer under orange yellow color?
Hi there! By using pink primer, colours like yellow, orange, and red will have richer colour compared to white primer. If you use grey primer, your yellow, orange, and red colour will appear dull 😁 hope that helps!

I have a question. How do you make your decals stick better to the model kit with out them peeling?
Hey could you tell me what kind of compressor your using and the air brush background thing. Like the thing you use your airbrush in to not get paint everywhere and filter the air.

What chisel sizes are you using for HG?
For HG best to use 0.1 or 0.125mm! But make sure you mix another sizes too so that the panel lines is not flat and boring
