Portland still loves Scottie.
Portland loves Russell too
Chi lmao
Too bad Lakers got him frustrated. Ha ha.
Damn Pip gave Russell flashbacks of 98
@Jarrett Penir you ain't lying. I just posted this on another comment section
Both Scottie & Mike always hitting game winners against Utah
My god Portland was loaded with talent. This team should have been champions. Scottie deserved 7 rings!
This was the last dance of pippen. After this season, he was not the same.
he is just an role player
This Blazer team was very exciting to watch. Scottie led the team very well and deserved to win another championship. If the Blazers did not blow 20 pts lead in 4th Qtr Game 7 WC final, it would been very different history made in the NBA. Scottie would have won 7th ring
People say Scottie wasn't that good. People say he wasn't anything when he was at Portland. Seeing stuff like this makes me smile.
That kind of talk is moronic considering Pippen was 34+ on the Blazers. He was past his prime physically AND had a body all beat up from injuries throughout his career. After that 98 season he was always dealing with back spasms and his knees were starting to give out starting in 2001. Anyone who is talking shit about Pippen post Bulls is a moron. We already saw how good he was alone when Jordan "retired". He was an MVP candidate in 94 and was first team all nba, first team all defensive in both seasons. He was a top 5 player.
@@BarstoolBlues33 Exactly, he was arguably the greatest player when MJ was out, but some great players like Hakeem Olajuwon, Patrick Ewing, and other great players out there, but he was up there for sure
@@newlongcat7499playoffs choker .....
The great Scottie Pippen.......👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I'm a life long Houston Rockets fan , but even I feel it's a travesty that era of Trailblazers basketball didn't win a championship. Those teams were so fun.
Too. Many. Chills.
My Favorite player Right there
Russell stay getting abused lol
as any player doormat lol
I was just asking myself was that Russel. How u get a abused by Jordan and then Scottie yrz later lol
The shot he didnt get in Chicago
Much easier to hit a game winner when you up 3-1 than when you down 2-0, LMAO.
Pippen my idol
That crowd was electric!!!
This Blazers team was probably the best Blazers team ever.
I think they were better the following season. This was the shortened '98-'99 season when they got swept by the Spurs in the WCF; they took the Lakers to 7 games in the WCF in the '99-'00 season.
John Beard Scottie Pippen was not on the TrailBlazers during the 1999 Lockout season. He played for the Rockets that season and got traded to the Blazers during the 1999 offseason after feuding with Charles Barkley, hence this being the 1999-2000 season.
Stacked. Had Detlef off the bench too
They have a young Jermaine O'neal as well.
Russell is always left holding the smoking gun 😂
This is my man of maches.
Scottie...strongest .
Scottie should have seven rings. Still can't believe they allowed the Lakers to come back in game 7.
@Terry Bogard I'm not upset about it at all. Just would've been nice to see him get another one.
@@robertlawsonjr.2501 Buddy take a look at that 4th quarter at game seven. The refs gave the lakers that game
@@eyalsabag1772 Refs didn’t make the Blazers chuck several missed shots in a row and made Scottie shoot 4/12 from the field you numnuts.
Bryon Russell always getting his ankles broken.
Scottie really came through in the clutch. Man the Blazers had a squad back then!
The 2nd best Blazer Playoff game
Dylan Block
1st: Lillard series winning 3 against Rockets.
2nd: Scotties series winning last senconds plays to beat Utah.
3: B Roy's 4th quarter play to beat Mavs in game 4.
D Lakland naw I’d say #3 is the game 6 in the 77 championship game, and #4 is the Mavs comeback
Dylan Block techicallity... it would be the biggest success games.....
You guys might be forgetting Clyde Drexlers blazers two runs to the finalsb
What a Stockton pass...
Poor Bryon Russell lmao
Why was that jumper so smooth
Byron Russell always was the sixth man, for the other team. Lol!
That blazers team was loaded
I remember The Conference Finals LA Times post was:
Too Deep vs. Two Deep
5:01 was such an obvious foul lol, that's crazy.
those beat LA chants...
lawfulneptune14 yeah... you can see the refs and NBA go "Hahaha, not today low market team that doesn't make us near as much money as the Lakers. We want money not fair competition."
All we had to do was keep this same roster and run it back. Didn't need to trade Grant. DID NOT NEED TO TRADE O'NEAL.
I do remember this era fondly but I don't miss those low scoring games. And I'm not sure why Karl Malone wasn't the one that crashed down into the paint instead of Russell, but I guess it's easy for me to say.
Pippen got class he been there before
Somebody other than Jordan
Jordan did Russell and now pippen did him
that girl kept on touching scottie pippen he didn't seem so comfortable
Yea wth was that about?
I replayed it several times. It was weird af. Never seen anything like that.. she prolly wanted scotties pimpin
Wow
No one talking about the courtside reporter?
Smitty would get his ring later with the Spurs.
God I wish they would have beat the lakers this year. Portland deserves another championship.
Bryon Russell choked at the free throw line to give them the lead and he got fouled at the end ..he screwed up lol
The fact this was only go ahead shot ever says it all lol
pippen was the greatest
Bryon Russell again!
Scottie: “and I don’t even have to push off!”
@Aaron9 no Scottie made Jordan wasn't good without him
@@telisahampton8135 Is that why Scottie choked every year without Jordan and whined and cried like a lil bish for MJ to come back during the 1995 season with the Bulls in danger missing the playoffs? LMAO
My 20th birthday - this was an amazing present.
Unfortunately, they are facing the LA Lakers with Kobe and Shaq in the WCF. Can't advance to the Finals.
They almost pulled it off though... They just didn't hold on for that 15 point 4th quarter lead in game 7
Olden Polynice and Scottie Pippen, trade partners in 1987 that changed the NBA landscape.
God that Blazers team was loaded
All I can say ... is ... CHOKE !! Bad memory for Russell.
Pips team.
That last shot was a defensive foul 😂
Thx ref
clippersblazers
Pippen knockout jazz again
Russell is use to that
5:01 that would have been called a foul in today's game lol
TMNT 1984 no B Rus. insn't a popular player and mainly the Jazz are not a popular team. The NBA and refs mainly care about mainstream players and esspecially mainstream teams.
@@Mechamjr88 like... Portland? lol.
Shoulda been a foul
Thats not a foul. Even today some ref wouldnt have called that. I dont think this even caused polemic back then
Navistar7.3l Powerstroke7.3l that’s a foul the dude bump him to the floor
1. That lady was touching Scottie a bit too High during the interview, plus called him a BIG MAN for no apparent reason, other than the obvious one lol.
2. Wow Scottie actually eliminated Utah 3 out of 4 years in the playoffs!
3. Utah really lost their throne in the West post 98, losing twice in a row to the Blazers, going down 3-1 and 3-0
4. That BEAT LA chant after the final buzzer was pretty epic. This team was destined for a chip but they choked away Game 7.
Close out game
Scottie Pippen 23 points
WCF gm 7
Scottie Pippen 7 points
Scottie didn’t have a good offensive game in WCF gm 7 but he actually scored 12 points. But his team was up 13 before the 4th quarter hence why they didn’t need him to score and he didn’t force the action.
@@alp21188
Up by 17 and they kept chucking up bad 3's
That game reeks of something fishy
@Navistar7.3l Powerstroke7.3l
The refs were bad but Portland were shooting 3's and they were up by 20.
All they needed to do was score
Stockton shook Wallace and no one even noticed
Damn... did Bryon Russell shoot under 50% at the FT line?
blazers
Scottie Air Pippen
Yo Stockton could not catch a break
What up
Something skip sweeps under the rug 😂😂
Aaron9 that’s not the point, skip said Pippen was an Okay player. Yet got 12 all defense teams. And top 10 in SFs all time. Really skip? Also skip says Mj don’t need help and MJ always took the clutch shots. We know that’s bs.
Russell was always there do to the dirty job against opponents best shooters. Mostly he did it great, only few times not - unfotunatelly historical. How unlucky is that.
Type
It's all said and done now but why not make that last ft so worst that could happen is tie? Expecially if they call that on Rasheed at the end? Smh bad coaching
I don’t think he should have missed it on purpose I agree he should have made the last ft. However the logic was if he makes it they can call a timeout and shoot a three for the tie. If he misses they were hoping the clock would count down as they scramble for the rebound. Unfortunately they rebounded cleanly and instantly and called the timeout lol
Looks like it was a foul on Wallace on last second. 3 free throws
Is there any cluts of a player like Russell? Like he never catches a break LMAO
Wow!! The Blazers were Stacked & No Championship.
Jazz always lost on account of their supporting cast. they had Stockton, Malone and Hornacek. the rest were liabilities
Bryon Russell was an excellent defender, but he was never clutch on offense
@Navistar7.3l Powerstroke7.3l I hate to admit it but WASIV is right. In fact Karl Malone once publicly said he was sick of having to carry the entire team on his shoulders. Malone even demanded a trade at one point (at the end of the 1998-99 season) and had to be talked into staying with the team by John Stockton
@Navistar7.3l Powerstroke7.3l Malone didn't have to carry the Lakers. They had Shaq, and also Horace Grant who was Malone's backup which meant that Malone didn't have to log as many minutes as he did with the Jazz. The Lakers were one of the teams that Malone had previously expressed an interest in signing with.
Scotty should have made that ladt free through
I agree I think he should have made it. However the logic was if he makes it they can call a timeout and shoot a three for the tie. If he misses they were hoping the clock would count down as they scramble for the rebound. Unfortunately they rebounded cleanly and instantly and called the timeout lol
The greatest Bull ever
The disrespect to Michael Jordan by you Pippen Stan’s is unreal, LMAO. 😂🤣
2020 says wassup and black lives matter
Damn woman easy with that joerogan neck interview grab...
This team was STACKED all the way down to the last guy on the bench. Should have won the series against the Lakers. FIXED! RIGGED! #&$*÷*÷
Rigged? 😂
Yeah and they were swept by Lakers in the first round of 2001 and 2002, too 😂
Exaclty
@@ibleedpurpleandgold9084 it was rigged idiot...go look at that series and tell me how the lakers get 25 free throws in the 4th quarter? Or if thsoe are even fouls?
@@ibleedpurpleandgold9084 same thing happened in 2002 WCF when the kings werr screwed same shit...25 free throws in the 4th quarter...go watcb that game and tell if thsoe are found
H DLT Lol, the refs didn’t made the Blazers go down 3-1 against the Lakers in the 2000 WCF. And the reason they lost their 15 point lead and game 7 was because as usual, the Blazers unraveled during clutch situations, stop moving the ball and take bad shots. They missed 13 straight shots that game during the 4th qtr during that game. I’m sure the refs didn’t made them miss 13 straight shots. This was the same Blazers team that blew a 20 point lead during the game 2 1999 WCF against your Spurs team. Fact of the matter is, those Blazers team were known for choking and weren’t called the JailBlazers for no reason.
and Jordannuthuggers would like you to believe Bryon Russell is an all-time great defender. the guy was garbage.
@Aaron9 what? Kobe was a teenager. So based from your stupid ass statement, Russel shutdown Shaq, Kobe, Eddie Jones, and Vanex by himself. sure son. you probably believe in the flying spaghetti monster too? Did Bryon russel even made 1 All NBA Def team? I can put Kawhi, Andre Igoudala, Giannis, Paul George, KD, Bruce Bowen as people who can do better than that garbage Bryon Russell. so you shut the fuck. Russel "made sure" what a fucking joke.
So this wasn't shown in the Last Dance, because it doesn't fit to MJ's narrative. And it was against Russel! MJ u r so shady.
lol. how dumb can you get? the last dance is about the chi bulls. not about this stacked portland team that choked badly.
@Aaron9 mj didn't make no scottie dickhead mj never made nobody around him better
The last dance was a documentry on Jordan and the Bulls, not on Pippen and portland
Wtf did I just watch.. horrible sequence...oh well Lakers bust that ass
Byron Russell always was the sixth man, for the other team. Lol!
