AI software like ChatGPT from OpenAI or MidJourney has been moving far faster than anticipated. Interestingly, they have started taking over the jobs expected to be replaced by AI, such as art. This is my take on the matter
Also here are my mini-series if you want to learn SolidWorks

Not going to happen any time soon. CAD designers just need to keep updating/upgrading their design skills and their CAD software skills.
maybe!

He has no idea of how fast IA is advancing.
@@ajarivas72 Personally I don’t think it’s gonna happen within the next at least 10 years, AI can’t think of original ideas. Also idk why you keep being aggressive towards other people’s comments and opinions.
@@Eng586 its the truth ai can already create some 2D game at this point i tested it on some site its insane give it a year and ai will catch up on 3D model you guys have no idea for what is coming
wich software is used in 0:48??
My partner works at the intersection of AI and neuroscience. AI will, in fact be taking over many jobs in the next few years. The first ones to really go will be data entry jobs, possibly followed by line work. Eventually, AutoCAD will be taken over.
Isn’t generative design and topology optimization essentially AI
Yes, you're absolutely right. Both generative design and topology optimization are subsets of artificial intelligence (AI). They utilize algorithmic and machine learning techniques to iteratively generate and optimize design solutions based on defined criteria, constraints, and objectives.
Generative design works by creating a multitude of design variations based on certain defined constraints and performance goals. The software uses AI to generate these iterations and then tests them against the set criteria. The designer can then choose from the generated solutions.
Topology optimization, on the other hand, uses mathematical techniques and algorithms to optimize material layout within a given design space, for a given set of loads, boundary conditions, and constraints. It identifies the "best" design by iteratively refining a topology, or structure, to optimize specific performance objectives under certain constraints. The "best" design could mean the lightest design, the stiffest, or any other goal the designer has specified.
Both these methods harness the power of AI to augment the capabilities of designers and engineers, enabling them to produce more efficient and effective designs.

I agree. Generic algorithms (generative design and topology optimization) is AI too.
Generative design + 3D printing.
Should be a killer combo
AI going to replace youtubers LOL
very much possible
@@with-Aryanit is already happening with RUclips IA.

This video is so good I thought it was generated by AI.
Af of now AI won't be able to replace mechanical designers.
But can't give any statement in the upcoming 2 to 3 daceds.
AI is exponential, and it can teach itself, nobody can predict anything accurately when you have an entity learning 24x7 and multiple times faster than a human.

2 or 3 decades ?
