Taken collectively, this series on impressionist art by Waldemar is a true masterpiece. The way in which he brings these artists and that time period and their art to life is truly a joy to behold. Anyone remotely interested in art and more specifically impressionist art needs to check this out. So well done.
Totally the best and the way he leads up to a particular fact like why is he out there digging with a shovel in the forest? Oh, it’s because they wanted to lower their canvases into the ground, to a height that they could paint. What?!?! Why didn’t they use the ladder?
Waldemar delivers a brilliant balance of informative whilst engaging and adds just the perfect touch of humour without compromising on the tone of the documentary

If you do not enjoy the art of the impressionists, it may be because you do not know the history. The final product is not always the best part of things. Sometimes it is the history, when, and how of a produced product, in this case art. This was great!
Absolutely fabulous I just found you and this was the first thing that I saw and it is just absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing history art and you do it in such a way which is so engaging because I can tell you love what you do and thank you for sharing that with all of us.

These guys were genius painters totally genius! Very few painters can paint in this style today. I know some great painters, and they surely studied these geniuses.
I do not believe that the "folding easel" shown at length at about the 35 minute mark was used by the Impressionists - nor had it been developed yet (at least not to a point anywhere nearly as complex as the one shown). That particular style of easel post-dates the Impressionists by quite a bit. It is the well known and more modern "French" or Jullian easel. I believe that this type of easel was developed about the time of WWII. I don't think you will find a photograph of any of the Impressionists using an outdoor easel that looks very much like that (and photos of some of them working plein air do exist). You'll more likely see a more crude tripod style easel with, perhaps a suitcase-type paint box for paint, brushes etc.
Taken collectively, this series on impressionist art by Waldemar is a true masterpiece. The way in which he brings these artists and that time period and their art to life is truly a joy to behold.
