The 90s was definitely the golden age of cartoons. Sadly I was born in 2003 and didn’t get to see it run on Toon Disney (now known as Disney Channel) but I’m glad to see a lot of other fans like it and wishes it didn’t have to end after only 91 episodes. I feel so horrible for not being a 90s kid.

thank god myself and millions of other kids grew up with great Saturday morning cartoons like x men and spiderman. the Sunday morning cartoons were OK and the after school mon-fri cartoons were great rip great t.v.

Actually, not quite. In the reboot, Darkwing Duck is an in-universe TV show from the 90's that Launchpad watched as a kid. He even has a talking bobble head on his dashboard.
I find it funny how 50-65% of this intro is Dw doing cool stuff, the rest is slapstick mainly with him getting clobbered and still getting up, how fitting for the show.
I was saying the exact same thing tonight. I’m 31 now and loved this show, and basically all of Disney as a kid. With Disney+, my son checked this show out tonight for the first time and was hooked - and I found it pretty interesting in that there was actually plot, character development, etc... granted, it was still a cartoon, but it was well written and my son was hooked - way better than basically anything else they’ve seen on TV in 2019.
This is one of the greatest Disney TV shows ever period and ten thousand times better than what they have with those dumb teen shows on Disney Channel.
This theme is a trap. you play it once... and you can't help but play it again... and again... and again... and again... and a few more times after that... then you tell yourself one more time... but you still need a few more "one more times." This is how you make cartoon themes and make them good.

That would work, but they ought to pay YOU something if they used that title, it could be something different nowadays, a SEQUEL not a prequel to Darkwing Duck. Also without gender changing any of the main characters. Also do you remember the "Terrible Thunder Lizards" and the phrase "When will the hurting stop?" That, could've been inserted into the 1st Jurassic Park movie.
I will always remember Darkwing Duck from my childhood shows if it gets rebooted in 2018 don't made it look like the brand new ducktales on Disney XD and Gosalyn becomes quiverwing throughout the whole series as drake mallard/Darkwing Duck new sidekick after adopting her as a stepdaughter at the orphanage

man it has been a long time since I've seen this series in the 90s, got obsessed that I ended up dressing up as him. usually when ever I catch up on old cartoons from time to time, I watch them online, hardly didn't watch this series again until now! I just saw the Darkwing duck bike and his grapple gun in Disney Infinity 2.0 trailer with Stitch and Tinkerbell, among Gravity Falls stuff! Crazy!
