  • Hi friends! Just wanted to share this teeny pen I got from Kickstarter. I checked and these are available on the Namisu website and on sale. 😍

My Nova Pocket Titanium in the beadblasted finish with a Fine nib arrived a couple of days ago. In terms of size, it's a little bit shorter than my Ensso XS Minimalist Pocket Fountain Pen when capped, but longer when posted. Right now I have it inked up with the Short Standard International cartridge that it came with. I have both a Kaweco converter & a short squeeze aerometric style converter that I may try in the pen later on.

I finally inked mine up this morning with the short cartridge it came with! It writes great! But does your entire nib and ink rotate/spin around?? Hoping that’s intentional and mine isn’t broken 😄

@@suzysedc6965 No, the pen isn't broken it was definitely intentional. It's for the mildly OCD crowd like me who like the clip and nib to line up when the cap is posted. What you do is note the position of the nib with the cap posted, then remove the section, align the nib to the position noted earlier, then hand tighten the black piece at the end of the section. That black piece also holds the nib housing in the section, and it doesn't have to be super tight, just hand tight. I think you'll find that works better, and will keep the nib from shifting around on you.

@@zeus52452 omg Thank You!!! That fixed it and now I love this pen even more!! ☺️

@@suzysedc6965 As a follow up, I did try the mini-squeeze converter, and the opening in the converter is too big it just won't hang onto the feed nipple when trying to insert it.

@@zeus52452 Thank you for posting this!! My Kaweco converter is still inked up my Kaweco sport and I hadn’t gotten to try it yet! Disappointing but I still love this pen! Have been using in daily for journaling since I got it! 😍

Since yesterday I’m a owner of this brillant fountain pen as well (Ti Petrol with a converter to ballpoint and Ultem). Unfortunately the small converter is noch working. On the other side this pen is really small and compact. Not yet available on the Namisu side, only the Nova Studio. Besides the Nova Pocket I can suggest the N2. They are on sale at the moment.

I just recently got this pen in the beadblasted Ti finish, and am very happy with it. I needed to tweak the nib a little to get the flow right, but it's a keeper. I didn't know it came in ultem; I guess I wasn't paying attention. I do have an ultem full size pen from Schon DSGN; its Jowo steel nib was superb right out of the box. I do love the look and feel of ultem. Light without feeling cheap.

The ultem from Schon DSGN is definitely one on my wish list! Beautiful!!

@@suzysedc6965 I don't know about the regular Ultem pen, but I have what they call the Smoltem A.K.A. The Black Ultem with the rollerball nib as an extra. I also have the PEEK version that is real nice. The next on my wish list is the Monoc nib!

@@zeus52452 I too am thinking seriously about switching to the Monoc nib. The downside is that I like the Jowo nib so much.

I haven’t tried calligraphy in years! But I am a huge fan of flex nibs & how they look like calligraphy with all of the line variation 😍
