Thanks for taking part and also for the knowledge sharing in you London talk from a few months ago (minus the fact that I ended up spending some money after that :) fortunately the Black Box was at a sale soon after...)
He created something especially unique, I don't mean the track as a whole but his sound inside of it was different.. hard to explain until you put some headphones on and listen to it properly.. skills. They were all cool as though
I feel like everyone missed the artistic challenge in the sample. Satie's music is slow. So slow that it feels like time stands still. It lives and breathes from the silence between notes. Bringing that into techno which lives from being fast paced, never stopping and pumping grooves is impossible. So how do you bridge these two opposites in a way that still respects both sides? THAT was the challenge in my eyes. And nobody even attempted to deal with that. They just used sample chops and saties melody to follow the same standard EDM formula we've heard for 3 decades now. I enjoyed their results. Sounded great. Don't get me wrong.. i just wish they had taken the opportunity to have a little courage and take a creative risk to create something outside of the tried and tested framework.
well, this concept of 4 producers 1 sample was made to introduce other peoples work and flavours to broader audience, so thats why there is no challenge here, but just a chance to play a little...
I love how Mark preserved the melody from the sample through his vocals. so that when you *imagine* to never have heard this piano piece, it would still leave a mark on your soul.
OH MY!! I love this video!!! i love first video with netflix sample, and now i love this one. Damn, guys you all made a crazy tracks! Robert Babicz,i listen your tracks very very long time, sir!!! AND this beautiful GIRL Mia, i love you!!! well done guys..
Thank you. It was really fun to watch also. Very good work from all of you. Very cool Track from Lauren Mia - I really enjoyed this, but sorry to say: Babicz is king. His music has a very special vibe and even its fully electronic it tells a story, also his layering and his progression with sounds and also FX is outstanding. For my personal taste he seems to be within a Top 5 national and lets say Top 20 worldwide. Thank you all, keep going!
You guys were amazing everybody brought something new especially Robert and yourself! Mark was creative with the vocal, synth fills and solid effects like solid solid :) for sure and Lauren brought it too man hehe. Also when you want to know how your track hits emotionally have a woman listen to it because they will notice all the little details that most people go over. Will follow you guys on Soundcloud and Insta. I'm a beginner in Ableton and you guys are a great inspiration to me!
Robert track was soo inspiring because of how creative and cohesive all the elements came together like glue (I wanna get to that level for sure) Drums, progressions, atmosphere/ambiance top notch Biskuwi track was solid especially transitions ,the synth layering (SICK) and lead was so interesting fluctuating from high mid to low pitch!!!
I didn't know Robert Babicz was Rob Acid. Got quite a few Rob Acid vinyls from many years ago! All of the tracks were really good. I enjoy Huang sample flip videos but this is more relevant to my musical tastes. Hope to see more
Great work all of You! 🙌🎶 I want more videos like this, very enjoyed to watch it :) I like Lauren work flow and how she developed sounds from a sample. Mark has lot of information in his head and is great with breaking down mixdown process and what tools been used, very professional German sound 💪 Robert 😅 what can I say legend and his comments 😂😂👏💪🤭 very nice track with deep sound Biskuvi also grat sound, well done! Like other said very dramatic, love it! Bass Chief ;)
It's great what you're doing here Yalcin. From an outside perspective you've grown in confidence and abilities massively, I'd say even just over the last 2-3 months - keep up the good work, we all appreciate it. Can I make a small suggestion - personally I feel that the Innervisions label is truly at the forefront of pushing sound design and the progress of melodic house, it would be excellent to get your take on their approach in one of your videos. I'm talking about the likes of Echonomist, Trikk, Toto Chiavetta, Aaaron, Glowal. These guys really produce sounds (not just synths) and rhythms you don't hear anything of the kind anywhere else. Regardless, well done.
Every track is unique and beautiful in it's own way. But im very impressed how Biskuwi brings digital synths on another level. Great Job keep on doing this videos 👍
wow, great music, love the original so with this crew, I knew it will be a nice episode:) so fun to watch that I forgot that my Cubase is open and waiting...
Somehow i feel Babicz was expecting more from everyone after every drop and was having ideeas with every sample (i even think he gave some good advices to each other of them) but i guess he is only further in producing even tho i didnt heard of him until now (and others too). Really nice expert teaching and had a lot of fun watching, hope to see more. Thank you
12 people who disliked this video.... shame on you. This series is awesome, enjoy every second of it. I am looking forward to the next ep. So entertaining and learning lots at the same time.
Love the concept, smiling all the way through. There is also a version of it with classical composers, really interesting as well, forgot the name though. Also, very cool choice of the sample! Eric Satie's Gymnopedie no.1 is one of my fav piano pieces ever, it makes me tear up 100% of the time.
Bro this is a masterclass! Just wanted to enjoy the music and the whole process while chill but what I saw is a massive inspiration. I really understood what topic should I focus now and many other ideas . Lastly, I agreed the idea that Mark smahed it at first (:D) and totally disagreed with you while you were utilizing the tempo. However, whole of your arrangement was facinating by that trick. Cong!!

Dobra robota 👍
Babicz sound design and reverbs are so insane
Babicz's bass patch is epic. And the atmosphere is a other-worldly. All of these were great. I love this
He created something especially unique, I don't mean the track as a whole but his sound inside of it was different.. hard to explain until you put some headphones on and listen to it properly.. skills. They were all cool as though
Three great producers and ONE FUCKING LEGEND: Robert Babicz. Very nice of him to participate in this. Simplistic genius. Wonderful.

Robert Babicz is on another level. What a talented guy. All four producers were talented and amazing too of course ! 🙏
the last one reminds me LORN songs... its like broken bass singing about his last moments of life. You all are so talented in what you do !
Everyone was A+, but my personal choice Babicz gets an A+++++++. Absolutely loved the build up and vibe, and such a versatile creation.
Lauren has a wicked studio... she’s crazy talented too; really impressed!!!

Robert is Maestro! Fantastic variations
2 vocals, 3 design, 4 drop are so amazing! all tracks are great though!
I love how Mark preserved the melody from the sample through his vocals. so that when you *imagine* to never have heard this piano piece, it would still leave a mark on your soul.

If im not mistaken, hes also Deepchord
Great series, currently my favourite of the 4 producers 1 sample concept. Techno is very emotional like classical music for the 21st century.
Robert Babicz 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great work all of You! 🙌🎶 I want more videos like this, very enjoyed to watch it :)
I like Lauren work flow and how she developed sounds from a sample.
