David and Tomte arrive in Africa where some poachers are trying to kidnap a Mother Elephant and her Baby. David and Tomte use some "invisible dust" to help the baby get away, but the mother is captured. Bright Eyes then falls into the hands of the Trolls, but David & Tomte save her with the help of a female African gnome named Sweetgrass, delivering her to a human ranger named Jibi who arrests one of Poachers, a poor man named Tano who has turned to poaching out of desperation. Jibi and the Rangers are taking Tano to jail when they stop to drop off Bright Eyes in a protected game reserve. The Poachers show up to free Tano and steal Bright Eyes, but Tano fights the poachers and protects Bright Eyes. David then chases off the Poachers with his gnome boomerang. Because of his bravery, the Rangers release Tano and give him another chance. David, Sweetgrass and Tomte ride Bright Eyes to the Poachers headquarters where they use special gnome-levitators to make the elephant tusks come off the wall and chase the Poachers and smugglers away.
