Brilliant movie this is, i am a big van damme fan love all his films, my favourite actor an martial artist, absolutely great guy, the world be a better place if there were more nice humble people like him, thank van damme for all great movies and the you tube videos he does too, some good funny ones too 👌👍🤝🙏👏
Loved this movie as a kid. Me and a couple of guys and some girls had a party (10-11 years old); We rented this movie. We saw 15 minutes the girls left us in the room. Us guys watched to the end and then got our and just did kicks and rolled around for the rest of the night hahaha ^^
Great up watching all of his movies and this one was one of my favorites as a kid. Funny he looks exactly like this today minus the long hair. They got him aging right!
Punk: "What are you gunna do old man?....droll on me?" *Dubois flips his arms out, punk's head hits the table, Dubois shoves him aside* Me: "No, he's going to do that."
One thing that didn't make any sense to me was how did Van Damme learn martial arts as a youth in 1920s new york? Martial arts in the US was basically completely unknown at that time.
Din-nar is connected to ability of feeling energy and presence of nature area. - It is connected to super abilities in painting and super painting. Such knowledge is connected to keepers of nature. - And to deepest knowledge of soul and soul elementals in connection to space inside and around.
The quest was a very flop but a world wide but Jcvd was not hearing himself on doing wrong things at the time by taking sleeping pills And thank goodness he learned what drugs can damaged the body And he never went to that drak path again
OK. Ajánlom a JCVD./Jean-Claude Van Damme: The Quest (1996.).-Bar Scene 1996-os Thailand RUclipsVideót a RUclips Csatornán. Lajos Tóth./Tóth Lajos. RUclips.
Bort McBort If this movie is “complete garbage” then why are you here? On the other hand, hmmmm come to think of it this is indeed “a watered down version of Blood Sport. He has the little white woman as his cheerlead in both movies and a big huge Asian man as his nemesis. If I’m correct he worse the headgear on both of his fallen comrades in both movies. Dude you’re right.
Please consider that it is one of the best movies JCVD did before the passing of his prime. It's definitely a fairly memorable movie compared to almost everything he did after 2000.
punks got owned.
80s to early 2000s. The best decades human kind have gone through. Unforgettable, unbeatable times.
@1Stl
Nah...just the 80's
It s nice see Van Damme making an old character and telling you the history how he learn to fight a long time ago...
This movie is a MASTERPIECE!
Loved the music that reflects the nostalgia and the nobility of heart of this movie's protagonist.
Glad I have the CD, got very cheap.
That was well put.
I couldn't agree more
I remember watching this as a child. I always remembered this scene. Van Damme is one of my idols.
So you practice idolatry? You kids are dumber than the dumbest!
me too
Me also
The movie isn't just about fighting but life. Ups and downs always move forward and be greatful for what you have and no regrets
The music is amazing
This movie, especially this scene never gets old for me!
Very patient bartender sat there and listened to his life story
it was a very good story. They even made a movie of it.
I would listen too
Considering Chris saved his life, I don't blame the bartender for being curious about his story of learning to fight, and what he went through.
Make up is so much better than CGI. Talk about a lost art, he looks great.
Saw this is theaters yrs ago one of my favorites
❤️❤️👍 beautiful movie..
There might be snow on the rooftop, but there's still a fire burning in the furnace down below! 😜
This was an amazing movie I think his best the music everything
This movie was great !
GameDjeenie now the movie entered in the 20th anniversary from the release
its amazing that he actually look like this today
That poor little bartender was in shock and awe.
So great
The robber that tries to attack Dubois with a bottle is played by Donald Faison, who played Dr. Christopher Turk on the comedy/drama series "Scrubs".
All bartenders should be like this one.
If all bartenders were like him Mark then there would be no need for entertaining shows like Bar Rescue.
That was a really wonderful comment man, you are completely right! 👍👌
Ginger?
My favorite movie Van Damme.
man , everyone should love martial arts , because its when your body , mind and reflexes become one
JCVD 🙏🌹❤️🥋. Respect!
With only a few minor changes this clip could easily become one of the greatest whisky commercials! ☺ 😉
I had my whiskey ruined SIX TIMES
_always love this scene and the movie_
you know your good when you can make that sound by moving a walking stick fast
Few more years, I'm there.

Toll gelungen, diese Szene. Fand ich klasse. Wo er gelernt hat, so zu kämpfen? Ja ja, das ist schon sehr lange her....
That's Van Damme damn near, now
Fourth best VD movie behind Bloodsport, Lionheart, and Kickboxer. Far better movie than it gets credit for.
Loved this movie as a kid.

I love how he blocks the bottle c:
flaco yeah... imagine if we could toughen our hands like that
I like how it opened and he beat up those punks. The bartender asks Van Damme how he was able to fight. He tells the bartender the story.
It's a weird bar where the bartender immediately assumes you're there for coffee.
Depends in the time of day. Some of the best coffee I've had i got in bars.
@@giftedlemming9434That's also an attentive bartender.
Really I loved the movie and the music
So sweet opening
Although lionhearted and blood sport are his best action. This was his best acting. Just a great movie and story.
Classic
The bartender is the bus driver from Day After Tomorrow!!!!!
No wonder he looked so familiar
Under rated JCVD movie - good as Bloodsport and Kickboxer!
Haha my favorite JCVD ever and that he direct this makes it more awesome
masterpiece!
Punk: "What are you gunna do old man?....droll on me?"
*Dubois flips his arms out, punk's head hits the table, Dubois shoves him aside*
Me: "No, he's going to do that."
Exact same line as the thugs said to mr miyagi on the next karate kid
Esta película es súper épica. Me trae buenos recuerdos.
La mejor pelicula de Van Dame
Irish coffee ☕️
Super film
Super film👍
I love JCVD
Bartender: That's a nice story, hey listen, business is a bit slow here, can you still juggle on stilts?
So were those two robbers who got knocked out unconscious for his whole story cause it was like 2 hours long.
Dahts nice.
He looked and sounded like Edward James Almost.
My favourite van damme movie as it had a feeling the only film I can say that was similar was once a time in America.
"Leave Him Be....Now...."
My bad, he said "You Should Leave....Now."
Van Damme can still fight even though he is an old man we can see that at the bar here
One of the few goons that was smart enough to not take on the guy that beat up his pals
very good movie
Coffee ready inn1 sec. Wow.
Awesome movie!
Why it is wise to respect your elders.
2:20 - Chris Dubois is all "Make your move"
Lol that corny bad guy music at 1:20.
Lembro a minha infância.
And critics say he can’t act...ridiculous!
0:40 coffee in a bar?
Winnie the Boogaloo
Well, things change 🤣
@@mr.g3642 well how about I had a little taste of whiskey to that coffee, whatta you say?
@@winnietheboogaloo4584 That's nice. 😊
Remember watching this i was 13
I
Hahaha van dam is godt hahah❤❤
The only movie I like from van dame
Zio prop. Moche Diamond? Give me a break JB!
Carradine on a doorknob? Don’t fall for this Pedowood prop kiddies. It’s all pure B.S!

is that Karl Urban, the guy with the knife?
Van Damme in The Stereotype
A bar scene isn't complete without a Schlitz neon sign.
*Sigh. Another great martial arts film
Now at that age Van Damme is not even like that

Christopher Dubois was pretty spry for a man in his mid-90s.
BETTER THAN BLOODSPORT
The quest was a very flop but a world wide but Jcvd was not hearing himself on doing wrong things at the time by taking sleeping pills And thank goodness he learned what drugs can damaged the body And he never went to that drak path again

Nah. This movie was complete garbage. Beyond being nonsensical, it was like a watered down version of Blood Sport.
it's one of my favorites Van Damme films.

@@djparaense Nah. If I filmed my kitchen faucet running for 2 hours, it would have more cinematic integrity than this steaming pile of bullshit.
Great movie
