@@AprilTeniente-eu1mj Thank you for sharing! It sounds like your dog knows exactly what she likes and avoids the extremes-smart pup! =) My Sheltie I had growing up loved playing outside but wasn’t a fan of hot summers or freezing weather either!
@ I know! But I only drank water and swam in the pool and ate my favorite ice cream and turned on the fans and air conditioners and coolers and I like to put a sunscreen on my face and arms and legs when summer arrives in the Northern Hemisphere.
my cats footsteps was in snow the other day that tell the story of her leaving the house, walking halfway down our path, rethinking her life and coming back up to the door.
My three cats not only love, but expect to be let out every single day. I trained them to be too scared to venture beyond the fences 🙀😂I'm always nearby and make sure they don't attack any birds and save the occasional skink they catch. Often, they don't want to come back inside, so I lure them with food, which usually works! Their hunting instincts really switch on at dusk, so I let them out when there's daylight, and that way it's also easier to get them back indoors.
Leo did wonderful for his first time in the snow! With his Siberian genes, he’s more suited to handle the cold than most other breeds and he just building up his confidence. The family around him helped speed up the process. Great to see! ;)
Thank you! Leo really did so well for his first snowy adventure! His Siberian genes definitely give him an edge in the cold and having the family support really boosted his confidence. So glad you enjoyed it! =)
You captured it all!! Leo’s curiosity as he looked around, his nervousness with those little meows, his caution as he stayed low to the ground, the excitement in his wide open eyes while exploring and even his reaction to the cold he’s not used to yet! Lol. AMAZING team effort from the family! :)
Thank you so much! You described Leo’s reactions perfectly-it was such a mix of curiosity, caution, and those adorable little meows! Lol. We’re so glad we could capture his first snow adventure and it really was an amazing team effort from everyone. =)
Even though very cautious and scared first time Leo did a fine job. The way he goes from the front door to the side of the house and into the backyard. He’s mapping out his territory like a pro!
Thank you! He really did handle it well for his first time even with all the caution and nerves. It’s so interesting to see how he naturally maps things out-going from the front door to the side and then the backyard, just like a little explorer!
Leo will feel comfortable in no time and great job! My two cats are both indoor and outdoor cats. They come and go as they please and have even trained us to open the windows for them when they want back in. You can’t say no to them or they’ll just stare and meow loudly until you give in! They could run away anytime but they always stay close, rarely venturing beyond the yard or fence. Even with Michigan’s weather (rain, snow, or sunshine all year round) they’re perfectly content staying nearby. :D
Thank you so much! It’s amazing how independent yet loyal cats can be, just like your two. It’s so sweet that they’ve trained you to open the windows for them-classic cat behavior! It’s wonderful that they stay close despite the weather; they must feel so safe and loved with you. =)
Thank you! We’re all so proud of Leo and love supporting him in new adventures. I think by the end of the winter season, he’ll start feeling more comfortable. He’s already explored the backyard on his own by sneaking out a few times during the summertime. The screen door was slightly open and he opened it up with his paws. We didn’t realize it until later. lol He was good, though and stayed close to the door without venturing far.
Aww, so magical seeing Leos first time snow experience. 😻 At first, he was meowing nervously, unsure of what was happening but his curiosity quickly took over and each step filled with wonder.💕
When Leo was at the side of the house, he was probably a bit cold and nervous as mentioned. I had my Siberian, Noni for 17 years and he passed away 2 1/2 years ago. I miss him dearly. ❤The first time he went in the snow, he was just like Leo. It took Noni about 5-6 tries before he got quite comfortable with it. I’m a new subbie here and looking forward to following your channel. Thanks for sharing this wonderful and adorable moment with us! 😃💖
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt memory of Noni. ❤ 17 years is such an incredible bond and I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s amazing how similar his first snow experience was to Leo’s! We're so happy to have you here and looking forward to sharing more of Leo’s adventures with you. 😃💖
This is exactly what I expect from a Siberian cat!! Brave boy, great work! I love how low you stayed to the ground, staying aware of your surroundings and being cautious! That's some serious animal instinct at work. Instinctively staying stealthy and observing everything around you. Siberians are made for the cold and you can really see that in Leo's confidence and curiosity in the snow. Keep it up, Leo, you're a natural explorer!
Thank you! Leo definitely showed his Siberian instincts, staying low and cautious while taking it all in. It’s amazing how their nature shines through, even as indoor cats! While he was curious, I think the cold was a bit of a shock for him in the beginning but he handled it like a pro. We’ll let him know he’s got a fan cheering him on in his exploration journey! =)
No worries, Leo and you’ll get used to the snow soon! I love how each cat has their own unique quirks and personalities. Over the yrs, I’ve had many cats. Some preferred staying home, while others couldn’t stand being cooped up. My current cat has the sweetest habit of following me everywhere. Just the other day, I went for a morning walk and it started drizzling. I thought he was inside but my heart broke when I saw him walking with me in the wet snow. I found him 3 yrs ago under my porch. We’re so lucky to share our lives with these amazing companions!
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful story! Cats truly have the most unique personalities, and your current cat sounds like such a loyal and loving companion. It’s so heartwarming that he followed you, even in the wet snow-it shows just how much he loves and trusts you. You’re absolutely right; we’re so lucky to share our lives with them! =)
Oh, Leo such a brave little boy! Seeing him take his steps outside and into the snow for the first time brought back memories of my own. Such a curious and sweet cat. I love how cautious you are. Thank you for sharing this moment and it brightened my day.
I remember the first snow my cat experienced. He was wary of everything. I went outside to the backyard porch and he followed me. He stayed for about 30 seconds, then ran back inside, meowing. This process repeated a few times, as he would then return to the door wanting to go out again. This continued for about 3-4 weeks until I think he finally decided that he didn’t mind going outside to the backyard playing in the snow.
Thank you so much! It really was a team effort to help Leo feel comfortable with his first snow. We’re so happy you enjoyed watching-it means a lot to us! =)
My sister adopted a 1 year old Siberian through a friend. I visited her for a few months at the beginning of 2024 after my retirement and I had the chance to watch Max experience his first snow day. He was just like Leo, staying outside for only a short time at first. By end of the winter, he was perfectly fine with the snow and cold. Siberians are naturally built for it with their triple-layer coat and fur-covered paws. In time, he will adjust to his surroundings and environment. Great work by everyone and well done, Leo!
Thank you for sharing your story about Max! It’s amazing how quickly Siberians like him adapt to the snow with their incredible coats. Leo’s definitely on his way to getting used to it too. We appreciate your kind words and encouragement! =)
Really cute video! I love how you were all there to support Leo. The way he sniffed around, meowed, and then decided he was done was hilarious. Thank you for sharing this! 💕🐈🐾
Thank you so much! Leo definitely kept us entertained with his mix of curiosity and drama. We’re so glad you enjoyed it and appreciate your kind words! =)
A few yrs ago I picked up pet boots for my cats. They love going outside but where I live, there’s a lot of snow during the winter. In the colder mths they wouldn’t go out due to the snow, so I decided to buy pet boots. Surprisingly, 2 out of my 3 cats actually use them! They’re not for all cats but I thought I’d share this in case anyone is interested. Leo did an amazing job and being Siberian, he’ll eventually get used to the cold and snow in no time!;)
That’s such a great idea! It’s awesome that 2 out of your 3 cats actually use the pet boots-what a clever way to help them enjoy the outdoors during winter. =) Thanks for sharing! Leo’s already off to a great start and we’re excited to see how he grows more comfortable with the snow. =)
I've seen this awhile back and was thinking about trying something similar for my cat, but I wasn’t sure if they’d tolerate it. Appreciate it and will look into it further!
Looks like the Siberian HQ has been slacking on sending out those snow-loving memos lately! 🤣 My two were the same a few years back. Total confusion in the snow! Now, they’re pros and strutting around in freezing weather like it’s a tropical vacation. ☀♥
Haha, so true! It seems the Siberian HQ memo got lost somewhere. lol Nice to hear how your two adjusted over time-lets us know Leo will be strutting around like a snow pro one day too! =)
I think you’re doing a wonderful job being so understanding of Leo. You understand when he’s nervous that he needs to go downstairs to reset and feel more comfortable. That is great.😊 7:37
Thank you for your kind words! We’ve learned to respect Leo’s process and let him find his comfort zone. Watching him reset and each time come back feeling more confident has been so rewarding. It also helps reassure us we’re on the right track. =)
Thank you! It really was a magical moment watching Leo experience snow for the first time. His curiosity and cautious steps made it so special for all of us! =)
Nice seeing Leos 1st snow experience. Those cautious little steps are so instinctive! Also, staying low to the ground when exploring unfamiliar territory and instinctively to avoid predators. Good job carefully navigating pass the snow and meowing when ready to go back inside. Such a brave little explorer! :)
Thank you for such a thoughtful comment! Leo’s cautious steps and instincts were definitely on full display-it’s amazing to see how naturally these behaviors come to them. He’s our brave little explorer for sure! =)
He did better than every cat that lived with my family over the years. Our cats would hit the snow and stop. Followed by a look of absolute terror and loud YEOWWING to come rescue me. lol
Thank you! We thought his careful steps and meows were so sweet too. We made sure to respect his boundaries and let him head back inside whenever he felt ready.
Leo did exceptional! My Simba is almost 1.5 yrs old now. Hes finally adjusting to the snow but it took a good 9-10 outings! So much for him being Siberian lol
Thank you so much! Leo did so well for his first snowy adventure-it was such a proud moment for us! I’m so glad you caught the new adoption update too; there’s more to come in Part 2! =)
Aww, Leo so brave his first time and it helps when everyone is so supportive. ❤ I read the comments disabled on the new adoption video and I wanted to say thanks for the update! Cant wait for part 2!😄
Leo definitely showed bravery during his snowy adventure and we’re so proud of him. Unfortunately, RUclips algorithm system automatically keeps disabling the comments. Im quite disappointed the comments are automatically turned off and I totally forgot how strict RUclips is with having children in the videos. We appreciate your support! =)
Absolutely! Leo’s instincts kicked in right away-hiding behind the shovel was such a smart move for him to feel safe while checking out the outdoors. =) He’s definitely cautious but curious at the same time! Thanks for noticing and watching his little adventure!
Our cat was hopping around like a kangaroo her first snow day. Too funny and I wish I had recorded it! Years later, she doesn’t mind the snow but she’s more of an indoor-outdoor cat anyhow. Great progress on the first day Leo!
Thank you! Your cat’s kangaroo hops must have been so adorable! Sounds like she’s adjusted well over the years. Leo’s making progress, one step at a time! =)
Thank you so much! We really wanted Leo to feel loved and safe during his first snowy adventure. It’s amazing how much he trusts us and seeing him explore with a bit of our support was so special.=)
The oldest son Aaron was trying to give Leo some extra time to soak it all in, but Leo definitely had other plans with those meows! lol Maybe next time Leo will stay out a little longer… or maybe not! Thanks for the laugh ! =)
Leo, remember you’ve got a triple layer fur coat and furry paws to keep you warm. Perfect for the winter snow! Great start on your first snow day. 👍 Looking forward to seeing your confidence grow with each adventure. 🙂
Thank you! Leo’s definitely learning to put that triple-layer coat and furry paws to good use. =) We’re excited to see him get braver with each snowy adventure too! =)
Cute Leo’s cautious yet curious approach to the snow is a great example of that adaptability kicking in. Such a wonderful video with Leo and family. Thank you!❤
Siberian cats like Leo are amazing. They're naturally built for the cold with their thick fur coats and paws covered in fur! It’s so cool to see Leos instincts kicking in as he starts exploring. He’s off to a great start for his 1st time!
Thank you! Siberian cats really are incredible with their thick coats and furry paws-they’re so well-suited for the cold! It was amazing to see Leo’s instincts kicking in as he explored. He did such a great job for his first time! =)
My 4 year old siberian cat Ivan got use to the cold eventually. Im in Park City, Utah and it can get quite cold compared to warm/sunny California where he lived the first 2 years! Hes now constantly playing in the snow and enjoying it. At first he reacted the same as Leo being cautious. Nicely done Leo.
Thank you for sharing about Ivan! It’s amazing how adaptable Siberians or in general cats can be. Sounds like he’s become a true snow pro after moving to Utah-what a fun transition from sunny California! Leo’s taking those cautious first steps, but maybe one day he’ll enjoy the snow as much as Ivan. =)
My cat had a somewhat similar reaction but didn’t last a minute! She went out with the same posture and behavior but as soon as she encountered the snow, she dashed back to the door. Lol
Leo your long lost brother Theo and I watching your video now. A few more practices and you'll be fine for the winter. Theo was scared at first and loves the snow now. 👍
Thank you for watching, Theo and friend! =) It’s so encouraging to hear that Theo grew to love the snow. With a little more practice, maybe Leo will be rolling around in the snow!
We often get a lot of snow here in New York. Leo, your twin, frequently visits us, and he's a natural in the snow. We plan to adopt him soon after he stops by again so we can take him to the vet. My dog and I are really looking forward to him joining us. :) By the way, you did an amazing job for your very first time in the snow! Keep up the great work and before you know it, you'll be enjoying the winter seasons! ;)
Thank you so much! It’s wonderful to hear about Leo’s twin-how exciting that you plan to adopt him! Wishing you and your dog lots of snowy adventures together. =) And thank you for the kind words about our Leo-he’s definitely working on embracing winter! =)
Leo seemed curious but yet cautious! Also, trying to figure out this new, chilly world can be intimidating! The way he stayed low to the ground and watching him look around and up...aware of the birds is such a natural cat moment.
Thank you! It’s fascinating to see Leo’s natural instincts at work-staying low and observing everything so carefully. He’s definitely making excellent progress and we’re so proud of him! =)
One time my cat insisted going outside by meowing constantly and pawing at the door. The thing is it was freezing cold outside! I let him out and he walked probably walked like 10-15 feet on the porch. He carefully and quickly stepped back to the house in a weird funny way. The funny thing I never heard his meow cracking so bad since it was freezing cold outside. It was like a -25 degree day!! 🤣😂
I can imagine his cracking meow! He regretted his decision as soon as he stepped outside! It’s amazing how curious they can be even on freezing cold days. Thanks for sharing that-it gave me a good laugh! =)
Our outdoor cat is used to all kinds of weather and loves jumping into the snow! During her first year, she was so scared and worse than Leo! lol. Leo did a great job and being Siberian, he should adapt much quicker! :)
Thank you! His little reset in the basement really does seem like his safety blanket. It’s amazing how pets have their own ways of finding comfort or to decompress. =)
Leo so smart and exploring the perimeter of the house. Also being very alert and staying low to not be seen from predators! So brave on 1st day and amazing support from the family! Love this!!❤️😻
Thank you so much! Leo really is such a smart and cautious little explorer-it’s incredible to see his instincts in action. We’re so proud of how brave he was on his first snowy adventure and having the whole family there definitely made it extra special for him.=)
You can see Leo unsure but still exploring. What a brave little guy! Nice teamwork with everyone helping out! Our family did the same thing with our cat Jonesy and it helped him transition being outdoors now. Hes in and out of the yard every so often. Enjoyed watching this.👍
Thank you so much! Leo really is a little braveheart, and having the whole family there definitely helped him feel more comfortable. That’s awesome to hear about Jonesy-sounds like he’s mastered the indoor-outdoor balance! So glad you enjoyed watching Leo’s first snowy adventure. =)
Aww, so cute seeing Leo go in the house and then go downstairs to reset himself. I would say Leo did extremely well for his first try! Incredible team effort from the whole family! 😍😻💗
Thank you so much! It’s so funny how Leo does his little reset routine-it’s one of his quirks that we love! We’re so proud of him for handling his first snow so well and it truly was a team effort from everyone. =)
I didn’t sign up for this cold stuff! lol. No, Leo did so well for his first time in the snow. 🥰My cats were the same but now, a few years later, they enjoy the snow and go out often. We are in the upstate NY area.
Haha, thank you-he did great first time. It’s great to hear your cats warmed up to the snow over time! Upstate NY must be a winter wonderland for them. =)
Thank you! We plan to in the future and he does seem to like the outdoors alot. Leo loves the summer time and hes gone out into the yard on his own a few times sneaking out. lol =)
Cats were originally desert animals, so I’d assume most don’t like the cold and prefer basking in sunny weather...just like me, lol! 🥰 But from what I’ve heard about Siberian cats through friends who own them, they’re well-adapted to colder climates and don’t mind it. 😻 Such a wonderful video with Leo and the family! ❤
You’re absolutely right and cats do love their warmth! But Siberians like Leo are definitely built for the cold, even if he’s still figuring it out. Thank you so much for your kind words and for watching! =)
Wow, Leo is exploring outside!! He did better than I expected for his first time!! He seems like a natural out there and it’s in his Siberian DNA!! 😆 Thanks for sharing with us-I loved it! 🥰❤
Thank you. We were surprised at how well he did for his first time outside, too. You’re right-it must be that Siberian DNA kicking in! lol We’re so glad you enjoyed watching his little adventure.
Haha, Tsunami sounds like such a character! Oh my, four feet of snow must’ve been quite the shock-no wonder she gave you the stink eye! Thanks for sharing your story. =)
You did exceptionally well Leo first time. Yes, my cat’s first time in the snow was hilarious! She didn’t know what to make of it and kept hopping around like a bunny! We went back in after 10 mins. Two years has passed and she is comfortable outdoors but prefers to stay inside mostly.
Thank you! It’s so funny to see how cats react to snow for the first time! Hopping like a bunny sounds adorable! Leo was curious but cautious, and we made sure he could head back in whenever he wanted. Sounds like your cat found her balance with the outdoors. Leo went out on his own twice during the summer when the screen door was left open a little. He was in no rush going back inside but he didn’t go far.
Absolutely and thanks for sharing! Cats are such natural strategists. It was fascinating to watch Leo instinctively assess his surroundings and take those cautious steps. Their instincts are so impressive! =)
Thank you so much! We feel so lucky to have Leo. He’s such a sweet and curious little guy. You’re absolutely right and he seemed to enjoy the adventure but was definitely cautious. Maybe he will be able to roll around in the snow like Abbi one day! =)
@@SiberianCatLeo Smart boy not to fancy free, he will get used to it for sure and thank you, Abbi loves the snow, Leo is furry enough I am sure it's nice for him, enjoy your adventure with your sweet sweet boy and give him all the love!
@@Iconoplastt Leo is cautious but so curious about everything! I’m confident that, in time, he’s the type who will enjoy the snow. He loves exploring and there were a couple of times when he snuck out into the yard through a slightly open screen door in summer time-something we didn’t realize until later! 😅 I’ll be sure to give him extra love from you. Thank you!
Thank you! Cats really are amazing strategists and it was so fun to see Leo’s instincts kick in. He’s always so curious and cautious-it’s fascinating to watch! =)
I have a Siberian and they can handle cold better than most breeds. Their paws are covered with fur helping protect against frost and provides traction on icy surface.
@@janbarriault4494 Absolutely, Jan! It was definitely a surprise for him-like stepping into a whole new world. lol My 4 year old and I use to live in California and the last 2 years we now live in Park City, Utah. Thank you Jan! It was definitely a interesting, fun, and chilly adventure for Leo, but we made sure to keep it short and cozy him up afterward. Hope you had a wonderful holiday season too! =)
Leo’s first few steps outside and in the snow looked like he was assessing whether it was safe. It’s fascinating to watch their instincts kick in! Well done Leo for your first time.

If cats could talk, they’d be scientists. So curious, observant, and always exploring their world! 🐱🧪
So true! Cats are natural scientists-always curious and observant. Thanks for sharing!
LOVE that you have him Safely on a leash. Loving, smart owner.
Thank you so much! Keeping Leo safe is always our top priority-it means a lot to hear that.
I love how you were all so patient with him.Such a caring family 💕
Leo’s reaction is like he’s stepping onto another planet! 😂
Haha, exactly! He’s like, What is this strange, cold land I’ve been brought to? lol Thanks for watching!
Aww, nicely done Leo. A nice outing exploring with the family out in the cold and encountering snow! :)
Thank you! Leo did so well on his snowy adventure-it was a special outing for all of us. =)
My kittys would be running back inside in a split sec!! 😻Well done Leo and HNY everyone! 🎉
Haha, sounds like your kitties know exactly what they want! lol Thank you, and HNY to you too! =)
Its always adorable seeing a cats first reaction to something. They may be fearful at first, or timid and curious at the same time. Love this😻
Absolutely! Their mix of curiosity and caution is always so adorable to watch. Thank you for enjoying this with us! =)
He loves the snow and walks on it so carefree! Leo did an amazing job for his first time out there! Bravo, Leo! 💜❤
This is beautiful. Enjoyed coming along with Leo and family :D
Thank you so much! We’re so glad you enjoyed joining us on Leo’s snowy adventure. It means a lot! =)
This is so sweet! I also love how you're teaching your kids about cat body language. It's clear he's a very happy and confident cat in his new home.
Thank you! It’s been amazing teaching them and watching Leo thrive. He’s definitely a happy little guy and now rules the house!!! lol =)
Maybe Leo is starting to realize why hes born with the fur all over his body!! lol 🤣😻
Haha, so true! Leo’s fur finally makes sense to him now-built-in winter gear! lol Thanks for the fun comment! =)
The climbing cat is so adorable! It must be magical for him to see snow for the first time in this winter season. Such a joyful moment!
Thank you! It really was a magical moment watching Leo experience snow for the first time. His curiosity and cautious steps made it so special for all of us! =)
Leo you have the heart of a lion! Brave, curious, and courageous! Excellent first time in the snow! 😻💖
Your cat looks exactly like our cat name's doremon
That’s amazing! Maybe Leo and Doremon are long-lost twins?! Thanks for sharing! =)
Nice work everyone! Team effort and Leo powered through the coldness and snow. 😄We are proud of you❤😻
Leo, your Siberian traits are kicking in-staying low to the ground, looking around, and ready to defend! Well done, buddy. :)
Thank you! Leo’s definitely channeling his Siberian instincts-alert and ready for anything! =)
You're a natural, Leo! Loved seeing you in action and overcoming adversity! 😃🥰
Thank you so much! Leo definitely gave it his best and handled the snow like a little champ. We’re so proud of him!
Followed by a look of absolute terror and loud YEOWWING to come rescue me. lol
Sounds like your cats had some memorable snow reactions! Leo surprised us with how well he handled it. =)
You are such a doll Leo❤ beautiful kitty 😻 love this❤
beautiful kitteh~~
Thank you so much! Leo appreciates the love. =)
The cautious meows and slow steps are adorable. Leo’s reaction is priceless! 🥰
Sounds like Simba eventually warmed up to the cold. Leo might need a few more outings too. =)
Keep at it, Leo! You’ll get the hang of it soon enough. Shaking off snow at the end had me laughing! 😉
Beautifully done for your first time Leo!! 😻Also, such a brave kitty and heard your new adoption update🥰❤
1:15 Smart Leo, making sure he is safe in his new environment outdoor 😄👍
Definitely can relate and both my cats had similar reaction. They hopped right back to the door! lol
Thank you! Your cat’s kangaroo hops must have been so adorable! Sounds like she’s adjusted well over the years. Leo’s making progress, one step at a time! =)
The way the family supported Leo during his first snow day is just beautiful. He must feel so loved!💞♥
Thank you so much! We really wanted Leo to feel loved and safe during his first snowy adventure. It’s amazing how much he trusts us and seeing him explore with a bit of our support was so special.=)
1:29 omg, wait 10 mins and then Leo can go lol 😂
I almost spit out my tea when I heard that! 😂
The oldest son Aaron was trying to give Leo some extra time to soak it all in, but Leo definitely had other plans with those meows! lol Maybe next time Leo will stay out a little longer… or maybe not! Thanks for the laugh ! =)
Those little meows at the door melted my heart! He’s such a smart and cautious kitty. Enjoyed watching his curiosity!😻💓
Thank you so much! His little meows always get us too. He’s definitely cautious but curious about everything new. Glad you enjoyed watching him!
Leo’s reaction: Why is the ground so cold? What is this cold white stuff? lol 😂 Love it and you did such a great job exploring, Leo! 🥰❤
Haha, that’s probably exactly what was going through his mind! Thank you so much for the love and support-Leo appreciates it! =)
Watching the family cheer Leo on made this even more special. 💖😻
Thank you! It really was a team effort cheering Leo on. Having the family there definitely made Leo’s first snow adventure even more memorable. =)
Just watched your new video! Comments disabled so posting here. Thank you for adopting Leo and him not going to a shelter❤
Thank you so much for watching. We’re so grateful and lucky Leo came into our lives. We’re so happy we could give Leo a loving home. =)
My kitty is like a dog just like her dog siblings!! She loves to jump, roll and play with them in the snow!! 😂
Beautiful cat❤
Thank you so much! Leo appreciates the love! =)
Cute Leo’s cautious yet curious approach to the snow is a great example of that adaptability kicking in. Such a wonderful video with Leo and family. Thank you!❤
Leo has the most amazing family! Watching your wife carry him to the backyard made me smile, what a team effort to make him feel safe!❤
Thank you so much! It means a lot to hear that. It really was a team effort to help him feel safe during his first snow adventure. =)
@@SiberianCatLeo Siberians and cats in general are adaptable to their environment. Leo will enjoy the snow and outdoors in no time.
My cat had a somewhat similar reaction but didn’t last a minute! She went out with the same posture and behavior but as soon as she encountered the snow, she dashed back to the door. Lol
Haha, sounds like your cat made a quick decision! They definitely know when something isn’t for them. lol Thanks for sharing your story! =)
That was amazing Leo! Wasnt sure of the unknown and kept going. What a determined little guy! ♥
A caring and patient family. 💕 Aww, Leo is so cute being cautious, staying low to the ground, and those meows are adorable! 😍❤
Leo seemed curious but yet cautious! Also, trying to figure out this new, chilly world can be intimidating! The way he stayed low to the ground and watching him look around and up...aware of the birds is such a natural cat moment.
Leo's cat instincts kicking in by staying low to a new environment, surroundings, etc. Interesting to see and excellent progress Leo!!
Thank you! It’s fascinating to see Leo’s natural instincts at work-staying low and observing everything so carefully. He’s definitely making excellent progress and we’re so proud of him! =)
Sweet Leo, it's nice to see you on your outdoor winter exploration! 🥰❤
Thank you! Leo definitely made the most of his snowy outing-it was such a fun experience to watch him explore! =)
No way! Mine cant stand the cold and she will be running back inside like Usain Bolt lol Leo’s a tough kitty! 😽
Nicely done Leo! :) Good call and when Leo went to basement he was like resetting like in his comfort zone. Its like a safety blankie for him lol
Thank you! His little reset in the basement really does seem like his safety blanket. It’s amazing how pets have their own ways of finding comfort or to decompress. =)
Came over from your adoption video. Well done Leo and very brave! Great teamwork happening here! :)
Thank you so much for coming over and for your kind words! Leo really showed his brave side and we’re so proud of him.=)
Leo so smart and exploring the perimeter of the house. Also being very alert and staying low to not be seen from predators! So brave on 1st day and amazing support from the family! Love this!!❤️😻
Thank you so much! Leo really is such a smart and cautious little explorer-it’s incredible to see his instincts in action. We’re so proud of how brave he was on his first snowy adventure and having the whole family there definitely made it extra special for him.=)
I live in Alberta Canada. My cats love the snow 😄
That’s amazing! It’s great to hear your cats enjoy the snow-he’s definitely working on embracing winter! =)
My cats will be running back inside once they feel that cold temperature!! Nicely done Leo! 👍
Thank you! I can totally imagine that! Cats definitely know when it’s time to head back to their cozy spots indoors!
Loving family 🥰 Very brave Leo😻 Hope see more of Leo in winter/spring/summer time😀
Thank you! We plan to in the future and he does seem to like the outdoors alot. Leo loves the summer time and hes gone out into the yard on his own a few times sneaking out. lol =)
(edited))
Leo might be from Siberia by way of Florida 😂
lol At least hes definitely getting there one paw step at a time.
omg🤣😂
Haha, exactly! Leo’s definitely giving off some Florida vacation vibes in that snow. lol Thanks for the chuckle! =)
@ Thanks for the delightful video! Happy New Year to everyone in your house 🎉🌟
@@jm1657 Thank you so much and appreciate it! Wishing you and your family/friends a HNY as well! 🎊✨
Watching Leo explore was a delight. Thanks for letting us experience this special moment with him! 😊😻
Team Leo here and cheering you on! Amazing for your first time in the snow. :)
Team Leo appreciates the support! 🐾 Thank you for cheering him on during his snowy adventure! =)
My cat, Tsunami, went outside and faced four feet of snow..she jumped into it and disappeared..came flying out and gave me the stink eye. 🇨🇦
The first thing a cat does in a new place is threat assessment and walking the perimeter.
Absolutely and thanks for sharing! Cats are such natural strategists. It was fascinating to watch Leo instinctively assess his surroundings and take those cautious steps. Their instincts are so impressive! =)
Good boy, Leo is such a cute boy and sooo soo adventurous and loving you guys are lucky, I think he liked it but was a bit apprehensive at times!
Thank you!
@@SiberianCatLeo What sneky boy, glad he loves his family and is sooo chill... thank you give him that extra love from me, love hearing about him!
Cats are such natural little strategists. Leo’s instincts really came through during his first snowy adventure.❤
Thank you! Cats really are amazing strategists and it was so fun to see Leo’s instincts kick in. He’s always so curious and cautious-it’s fascinating to watch! =)
I remember one of our cats stepping into the snow for the first time. The cat was like, Nope, not going to happen!
That sounds like a classic cat reaction! They really know what they like (or don’t like). Thanks for sharing! =)
poor guy, must be crazy cold for his paws!! hope you all had great holiday season!
I have a Siberian and they can handle cold better than most breeds. Their paws are covered with fur helping protect against frost and provides traction on icy surface.
@@william6617-p3u lol oh yes,, but it must be a bit of a surprise!
@@janbarriault4494 Absolutely, Jan! It was definitely a surprise for him-like stepping into a whole new world. lol My 4 year old and I use to live in California and the last 2 years we now live in Park City, Utah. Siberians are naturally curious, though, so they often adapt quickly. Watching their cautious exploration is part of the fun! :)
Thank you! Yes, its really is fascinating to see their instincts in action-Leo’s careful steps were like he was calculating every move. We’re so proud of how well he did for his first time in the snow! =)
