this video should help him be more conscious of the game state. TBH, both players did seem have a hard time always keeping track of the tax. even the thalia player would occasionally miss this since he always had tivit's ward tax in mind as well haha
wouldn't it have been a better play to try to mana tithe tivit on turn 6 and pray the tivit player doesn't have a FoN or FoW since his board is pretty much established with a creature dealing dmg on the opponent's HP
yes! :) Protection only stops cards from targeting the permanent and prevent damage from being dealt to it. Supreme Verdict does not target nor deal damage so Serpent will be destroyed :)
Damn imagine swapping to Thalia for game 2 for the control player to just ignore the tax over and over. The matchup is hard enough.
