I was literally thinking yesterday about how the frog suit could probably be utilized to make “top down perspective” levels and people are already taking advantage of that, this is BRILLIANT.
You could use the night swimming theme to accomplish something like this with a different palette, too!
Scrungy Bingus you could use the p balloon! It’s good for racing levels!

Clever usage of the frog suit.
Yeah, I was trying to figure out why Mario was in the frog suit and then I realized it was to make it look like a top down perspective. So cool.
Marimon Sword and Shield had a LOT of controversy a few weeks ago, people got mad because there was this one tree with a few pixels that were the wrong color

This was rather neat and great story telling. I love how the battles were done. If there is a Marimon: Blue Koopa version I hope it uses blue mecha koops with their lasers.

I really want to see all the routes or as many as possible done and put them in world maker
Haven't been doing it in this style at all but since the update way released, I've been making certain routes and locations from across every mainline game into levels to put all together into a world maker. Kind of using them as inspiration and turning them into horizontal and vertical platformers rather than rpg-like like this level. Still, it would be cool if someone could expand on this idea here.

@@crabludioofficial6941 I haven't uploaded any of the stages yet at least til I finish the Sinnoh ones since I'll be halfway done by that point and I'm finishing up Hoenn now so it shouldn't be too long.
My maker ID is XGK-5TD-DHF but the only stage I have uploaded rn is a pretty old one back when I first got the game. Didn't make many in this game since I played the first one a lot more but the world maker has gotten me back into it.

Finally, a use for the frog suit.
Question. How do you do the thing at the start of the level where Mario isn’t even on screen
If you use custom scrolling, you can scroll the screen just above where mario is without him dying.
In order to start the level with the player off (below) the screen, you'll need to make use of both custom scroll and scroll stop. Between the "S" custom scroll bird and the 7x3 "start area", there will need to be a horizontal line of ground/hardblocks spanning the entire width of the course. Note that there will need to be course parts above the relatively thicker horizontal grid line running through the middle of the course.
Subsequent custom scroll birds will need to be exactly 5 tiles above the one marked "S". (What's important is that the custom scroll path stays above the scroll stop line, but no more than it needs to be, as to not trigger a pit death)
Above all, make sure the ground below the player does not go any lower (again, as to not trigger a pit death), and since the player is entirely offscreen, *make sure the instructions to exit are clear* (i.e. right arrow signs to enter a pipe).
(If you want there to be a pause before the movement (also like in the video), implement a vertical scroll-stop line with hardblocks lining the part at the offscreen player tunnel, with a mechanism to destroy them after a set time (like a Bob-Omb))

1. Only Mario Maker enemies. I only made an exception with Petey because I couldn’t think of anything else. Winged Piranha Plant wouldn’t make sense since I have the jumping piranha already.
2. The Pokédex numbers were already taken...
3. I actually forgot about Bully, so thanks. Same with chain chomp, which is why it’s near the end of the Pokédex.
4. Kamek is a magikoopa.
5. I’m using course pa- (wait ninjis aren’t course parts...) okay maybe the doggo. But not the reset rocket, Partrick, Coursebot, Mr, Eraser, that bird, or Soundfrog. Especially no Soundfrog. Never Soundfrog. I do not want Soundfrog near this Pokédex. Anything but Soundfrog.
6. I never played SMRPG. Although isn’t there a whole virtual console thing on the switch involving nintendo online so I can play it (and SMW)?

Holy shit we need a Pokémon Maker. Customizing your own maps in the styles of Gen 1, 2, and 3, making your own routes with encounter rates, and even building your own gyms. I know it’ll never happen but damn it would be fun.
