Hi. We have sold thousands of these without issue. It’s one of our most popular smaller products. I would make sure it’s fully secure and that the gasket for the filler neck is secured and not pushing the fuel door out. The concave side of the gasket faces outward (towards you ). Also best to lube the gasket with some soapy water. I would take your time and make sure it all snaps in properly. We have never had a return or defect with this model.
I notice mine has some gaps from the body panel and the Combat fuel housing on the outside. It’s as if the clips that suppose to secure the housing to the body panel are inconsistent and doesn’t clip securely. Would this be under warranty to return? I would hate to keep returning it if I’m going to keep seeing gaps. Personally it’s not suppose to have any gaps, now I know this is a mod, but I’m pretty sure quality needs to be of high standard. Is there maybe a thin rubber seal that could be applied that goes around the putter ring of the housing maybe to fill in this gap? I’m not seeing gaps on the mopar fuel doors. Also the rubber grommet that goes around the smaller hole for the fuel tube, one side is flat, the other side is angled or has a edge. The video didn’t mention which way it’s suppose to face, can you guys clarify?
