Nothing else out there could pull like those 80 MACS, according friends of mine who were CR engineers. their pulling power and reliability were unmatched....sadly CR and most of the 80MACS were cut up. Very nice video work!
I saw one on a BNSF mixed freight with a progress rail and warbonnet trailing behind a couple months ago, but sadly the first 80mac was an ex Norfolk southern:( hopefully they weren’t headed to the scrap yard.
No need to apologize for video quality; it was excellent! And, your info updates are the best ever viewed! Congrats!
Thank you so much. Glad you liked it.
Nice but sad video. EMD's are slowly disappering from railroads😢😢😢
Thanks. Sadly they are sliding into history.
@@roadrailer1656 at least the SD70MACs are still around. Kinda
Yes, and the ACe's are still out there as well.
I think the footage from 2008 is awesome and perfectly fine. The good old days of railroading and those monster sounding EMDs
@@Rob-tr1st Thanks so much. Glad you liked it.

Same stories I've received. Yes all but the 6 CP bought are gone. Hopefully CRHS will be able to get one of them. Thank you. Glad ya liked it.
@@roadrailer1656 I seem to remember a story last year that a small eastern rr had bought two 80's from CP...
@@EL-sp5zi Well that would be great to see.
Yes in ND they scrapped them with some ex CN SD50Fs
Excellent no complaints this video is fantastic.. 🎥👍
Thank you. Glad ya liked it.
Awesome video man! These engines were way better than the junk ACus
Thanks buddy. Appreciate it. I talked to a couple engineers who loved em.

What was the number on it?
The engineers don't wave from the trains anymore; not the way the did back in 1954!
I don't think they are as happy today. As they were back then.
Well i have two n-scale SD80MAC's and theyre staying Conrail.
Lol. I hear ya. I have 10 HO 80's myself. Ain't scrapping them.
Oops, 12. 6 CR, 2 NS, 2 CSX, 2 C&NW
I got one NS and one CR (7216 and 4111)
Rip 🥺😭😭😢🫡
