@@jackthecraftian yeah!! from where i come from you had to have a saint patience for deal with this kind of stuffs. I been having that for a long time, but my patience get really worn out quickly by just the mere condesding tone or any attempt of entitlement. And often get received either with an insult form my part or just straight a punch if the person get to much physical and berating.

Everyone knows poor Hank not only got rapped through the die-vorce court system for half his stuff/property, he would also have to pay alimony and child support until all those 5 kids were 18 or 21 depending on which state.
Honestly he didn't want to have those kids so I find it unfair if he would have to pay child support as he wasn't involved in the decision, sure he technically gave consent, but he wasn't in the proper state of mind to do that in my opinion

This is how I feel. Why are people afraid of holding people accountable for their cruddy actions? I would have been blunt about the ring situation and tell Pat to never associate with me or my family again and threaten to file a report with the police. I guess they got the point by nobody showing up to the wedding, but Pat probably still feels like a victim and is wondering what she did wrong.

If I was part of the couple that Pat was trying to get to change their venue date I would not have caved. I would’ve said something like “I already scheduled for this time so either find a different venue or wait until next year. You can do a really early sign up for next year”

Hank needs a full redemption arc. Emotional distress, emasculation, and seeing that the US judicial system , whether it is for child support or divorces, isn't objectively fair. It goes by the biases of the judge. As a wedding photographer, I've only seen "they aren't going to last long" couples twice. The groom had depression just like this guy, but was also alienated by his own friends. The bride's actions made me uncomfortable and made for a dangerous environment. The story on Hank alone is something I can relate with Mr. Castro (the groom in my story).
Revenge is never good because karma takes care of narcissistic people. It's just about waiting for karmas firework show.
Unfortunately you did lower yourself to Pat's level and you can get karma as a result.

I have been poor since I was a pre-Teen, and I know why the young woman did not fight back. the only people in North America who are used as bullets in the culture war are the poor in every type.. you learn early in that situation what is important and what isn't important enough to fight about. the young woman knew that she could still have a beautiful ceremony and reception without that dress. disappointment is something that follows the poor and others as seen through Donald Trump's eyes as lower or higher than the poor.
