Today’s fact: The Turritopsis dohrnii jellyfish species can reverse their life cycles back to the polyp stage and repeat this process indefinitely which makes them the only animal that is immortal.

And to you and yours!
I've heard that saying in swedish as well. "Can't see the woods for all the trees". It's funny how these things spread
"Can't see the forest for the trees" is a proverb from John Heywood in 1546.
He was an English poet and proverb writer who lived most of his life in England but had to flee England later in life to Brabant in 1564. He later moved to Mechelen in modern day Belgium where he died in 1580 at the age of 83.
The saying is mostly now used to mean someone is focused on the small details not seeing the larger picture
Your eye makeup is gorgeous
Love the close ups 🤎
In the UK we say that you can't see the wood for the trees, love you vidz luv you x
Hi Sophie ❤❤
Fabulous…so relaxing!
Thanks for posting.
We say in the UK: one cannot see the forest for the trees. It's a saying I've known all my life; I have no idea of the origin.
John Heywood 1546 an English poet and proverb author. Also lived in modern day Belgium in his later life
We do have this one in germany too. „Du siehst den Wald vor lauter Bäumen nicht“
@feraldog5590
Did he have a time machine?
Thank you for finishing the count!! I would have gone crazy if you didn't, lol 😂
we have 'i can't see the forest for the trees' in England, which some people just use as a derogatory insult to call someone stupid lol, however, i guess that it's similar in that you wouldn't be able to scout anywhere big, if, let alone something smaller in detail, and vice versa (as you said) but the two resolutions of 'seeing' these two objects are connected by the way -
anything forest-sized is in fact bigger, and using 'forest' can translate well for DISTINGUISHING. So in detail, the forest is used to inform that the 'tree' is small-scale & within the same object/same thing as the forest when not trying to measure the smaller-scale object = forest. IN SHORT! i think it's used to make a distinction... ? do you use this in this way ?
Either way it is a great human-to-human communicative device or tool!
Thanks so much! That felt amazing!
Thank you for the upload!
This is amazing
18:50 It's not just you. I often find asymmetrical looks more memorable.
