I think what made the Stan Lee method work so well was the talent Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, etc. had on top of their cooperation.

We can see that really, Jack Kirby's without Stan is different. And i love them both.

The Marvel method worked back in those days with Jack Kirby Steve Dicko John Busema John Romita and Joe Kubert. Because that's when they had really amazing artists. Todays comics are done with computers and they cost 6.00 an issue not 10 or 25 ¢

I'm pretty sure comics were only a dime back then was because the dollar wasn't worth a lot more, like 25 cents back then might as well have been like 5 bucks now, but the quality of writing was definitely better back then imo so the marvel method probably was still a really smart way to pump out quality content

Cost is probably not that different when you adjust for inflation. I work at the same job my dad held, in the same city, on the same department. He worked back in the mid-sixties -- same period Stan Lee is talking about here -- and made $310 a month. My pay is about $4,200 a month. A decently optioned, brand new family sedan back then would have run you approximately $2500; today you're looking at $35,000 maybe. Money doesn't go any farther today, there's just more of it around.

Nice catharsis to the diagram of moving illustrations, editing the image of onomatopoeia to a story line of different illustrators in a kind of orchestrated sheet of English music American Made. That's the serenity of team work in the 5 letter anagram TEAMS -" Together Everyone Achieves More Serenity " when the question of who " I AM " is in the imagination of a child. " if thou Art that thou art, then could we call thee
" Art " ?..In my 54 yr old - ( 4yr old opinion lol ! ) Stan Lee is a TEAM leader by his illustration of narration, a true genius.

This is the method Feige uses at Marvel Studios; with Kevin playing the Stan role and directors/screenwriters playing the artist role.

With the current track record of the MCU, I don’t think Kevin Feige deserves that credit. He seemed like just a poser.

    • @Uatu-the-Watcher
      @Uatu-the-Watcher 2 года назад +1

@@ashokaayar760 You see, I disagree. First, Stan and Jack weren’t always at 100%, and made some goofy choices, as has every artists. Kevin has adapted the Marvel Universe to the screen effectively as the Studios’ “editor-in-chief” as it were. We didn’t buy every comic our favorite publisher released. We didn’t like every comic of our favorite title either. I don’t expect much different from The Studio.
Kevin’s also doing what Stan did by leaving a lot of the design and story elements to the artist/director. As long as things flow in the direction he wants.
I don’t see any evidence of him being a poser in any way from an objective perspective. He’s earned his place.
But, hey. His output isn’t your cup of tea. That’s cool. No artist appeals to everyone.

What happened? I sold Marvel to Disney....and its the biggest mistake I've ever made! Because both companies hate eachother.

and he sold it for 5 billion dollars. That sounds like a lot, but that's really cheap for all of Marvel. Spider Man Hulk, Iron Man, Black Panther, X Men are alone worth 5 billion. Not to mention the sequels.

He is a thief because he stole the credit of over 90% of stories he claimed he wrote for marvel comics. Most of the books that has his name as writer is over 85 percent of the time by the artist. And 15 percent by another writer

Yeah he did. Most of the scripts were done by the marvel method which is basically an equivalent to free writing were the illustrator plots the stories, and the editor dialogues them. There is no scripts the plots were the visuals done by the illustrator or told by another writer.

This new documentary is giving alot of people the wrong idea. Stan Lee was not a thief. He was very talented man. He worked hard along with Jack Kirby to make Marvel the successful company it became. It's difficult to say who contributed more. It was a team effort. Stan Lee was mostly the writer and he was a great salesman. Just because he has a happy fun demeanor and talks alot, doesn't mean he's a liar and a thief. And just because a man makes a documentary to make claims he can't prove, just so he can make alot of money off it, doesn't mean they're true. Anyway, it's great what Marvel has become, and the opportunities it has opened for other comic book companies and creatives. Cause for years and years Hollywood, and the world in general made fun of comic book readers and those that made them.

That’s just how the comics work, the writer is always known before others, and Stan Lee’s vast contribution allows him to technically be known as the main writer because without him it wouldn’t be as popular.

@WhoDarestheMAN gamer Deathstroke is DC. Moon knight is really nothing like batman beyond BASIC aesthetic. If similar aasthetic and power set is stealing to you, you don't know how to write a character. Power set, design, ect. Are the EASIEST part of writing a character, Moon knight has a ton of his own lore, characterization, ect. Only petty fans of one side or the other who don't really read comics say things like that. I would never say aqua man is a namor ripoff, I wouldn't say that because Aqua Man has a TON of his own lore and characterization and storylines. Yet you would say Moon Knight is a Batman rip off.
