    This is the first year in the Holmes/Campbell draft era that they don't need to throw rookies into the starting lineup. These guys will have to earn playing time.

    Brad Holmes said the same thing last year when he took Laporta, and a lot of us questioned that comment with TE's like Kinkaid and Meyers in the draft. He gets the benefit of the doubt for at least this year. I have no reason to think Rakestraw won't be really good, even if he had him rated higher than Mitchell and Dejean.

    • @SeanP7195
      @SeanP7195 26 дней назад

      Not me, loved Laporta and told everyone Mayer was overrated. I also fought with endless Lions fans how “we should never draft a TE again”. Or, “at least not before the 5th round”. It was ridiculous. People forget Hockenson is a pro bowler and even Ebron got one. I’m satisfied. Still wish we got Keenan Allen for the season. I think the window to win a SB is short. So go for it. .

Making a comment like that the window is short bro the window just opened up for the Lions with the genius of Brad Holmes and the ability of Dan Campbell to get these players ready to play weekend and week out I don't see the window closing anytime soon. Furthermore the way this team was built I never seen this before and I've been a Lions fan all my life basically Maybe I'm drinking the Kool aid I believe this is going to be the blueprint moving forward how to build a roster Brad we trust LFGooooooo.

    Fellas, you absolutely hammered this out of the park, especially setting the table with the audio clips and the very real talk about how Holmes and Co operate differently from almost every other team in scouting and grading. It doesn't even mean it's the "best" way, but Holmes is flat-out savant at talent evaluation and acquisition. There is definitely plenty of luck involved in the draft (EGs: Bengals going Chase over Penei, Jaguars taking Walker over Hutch and now having their two favorite CBs at a spot of need as their first two picks because 6 QBs, 7 WRs and a TE went in the first)... But Brad Holmes is 100% playing 4D NFL Draft. We are SO lucky to watch this thing build from the studs and start to play out. Not even close to this team's peak, either.

BH and DC have established a draft strategy that mirrors the goals and aspirations of the organization. It’s really exciting to see. Loved the double dip to solidify your CB room. Also love that they are comfortable taking a project in Rd 4 that has HUGE upside.

    Here's a way to think about the secret to Brad and Dan winning so hard: They want to find guys who can handle the fact that each and every one of them is in a battle for his job every single day. No one has anything handed to them. And we know that this team is not shy about telling anyone on this team that nothing is given, everything is earned. The Lions shoot straight with every player and treat them all equally - all the way down to the janitors and cafeteria staff (the opposite of the bullshit "Patriots Way" that was here previously). Brad and Dan want dudes who get along with others and work well in a team setting - but have that killer instinct on the field and will stop at nothing to win. Popovich and R.C. Buford Spurs, in other words. They want guys who will pound the rock until it splits on the 1000th blow (nod to Rod Marinelli, lol). They want guys who have gotten over themselves and will do whatever it takes to win with brothers in arms. That's what they are building.

      Vaki only ran a 4.5 something maybe 4.6 but he was clocked at almost 24 mph last year. 40 times lie, I'm more worried about a corner who can turn their hips quick and have a good burst of speed after. Turn and break speed should be measured

      @michaelwicklund 24 дня назад

      Most plays aren’t long so what doesn’t matter as much is long speed but rather their burst and their other skills. Both have significant better burst meaning they get to top speed quicker and remember Pat Surtain II was a 4.46 and Rakeshaw is still injured a little so maybe he is faster. Their technique if you watch them play is really good and with more experience can be very good cb at the next level

    First mistake in your video is we did not trade up for our second draft pick
    Second mistake was they were going to trade up to the late 30s or early 40s for the same draft pick that I got at 61
    And the guy in the beginning of this video with the glasses on he just likes to talk and scream
    More to come later LOL
    But when you're willing to trade away pics to secure a draft pick that you don't think will come your way and that many positions with that much draft value it comes into question
    But now you need to understand well OK he's the man that set up the Matthew Stafford trade
    And he will do it to Detroit too mark my words

    This video is both, inspiring and disappointing at the same time. How she responds to this interview will say ALOT. It was an extremely bad interview. So bad that it could actually affect everyone from that generation that tries run for office.
    She was extremely nervous, and was the clearest thing about the interview. Couple notes: She came off as if she was running for student counsel by saying a lot of vague words, really fast, without actually saying anything at all. Threw in a ton of keywords. Lost her place in the scripted responses a few times.
    You can tell when she said something she didn't intend on saying. She switched from using supportive neutral language, to feminist talking points aggressively towards men so fast. You can actually see the moment of panic in her eyes.
