The wardrobe designer on this show should have won an Emmy. Rothstein looks cool as hell! Wish men could dress like that again.

According to Luciano(as told to a reporter), Rothstein taught him “how to dress”. I think that’s a badass anecdote; acknowledging their connection but offering little for gossip columnists.
It reminded me of times when I was younger and had flings and trysts with women but ferociously refrained from bragging of my conquests. It does make you feel cooler, that’s for sure!

Arnold Rothstein always dressed in Wall St-style, expensive suits. He shunned the more garish, pin-stripe, "pinky ring" clothes of other gangsters. He neither smoked nor drank liquor, and considered those who did to be spiritually and morally weak.

Boardwalk Empire is supposed to cover the early days of the mob and how they prospered because of Prohibition. But if the show runs successfully for six seasons the final year in the series will be 1925.
But I would like to see Boardwalk Empire in the year 1933 when prohibition was repealed on December 5th. Then maybe we can hear passing refrences to Adolf Hitler.

At my old school there was a professor who wore a straw boater to campus every day when it was warm and a beret the rest of the year. I'm still not sure how he pulled it off without looking ridiculous in the 21st century (especially when he sometimes paired the beret with a leather biker's jacket in the winter), but he did.

@yasoon1234 I think The Wire is pretty high up there also. Has Michael K Williams in a fantastic role as Omar. OMAR COMING! OMAR COMING! If you have watched the show you'll know what I mean. But yes Buscemi is simply awesome. FARGO, one of the greatest films IMO. Only bad thing about the whole show so far was when Jimmy slit the throat of the man upside down. The amount of pressure the body would have been under, the blood would have gone all over the place like a Japanese film! Not a puddle
