Wobbler is so underrated they need all the support they can get. You just got your self a new subscriber. Kalandra is another Norwegian band worth listening to. So far they have relesed one album and it's a very strong debut.(The line) Their live performances are often better than the studio versions. Chek out the official videos Slow motion and Brave new world.Prog on🤘
I've been hearing a lot of people drop their name over the past couple of years, so I really need to give them a try. Someone told me that they are mostly instrumental, which is why I've semi-shy'd away from them. Not that I have anything against all instrumental music, as I'm also a fan of Fusion, but I do 'prefer' vocals, as long as they don't suck! (hehe). I know this might ruffle some folks' feathers, but I'm not wild about female vocalists in Prog, with the obvious exception of Annie Haslam. Most others I've heard have been weak to me, or simply didn't compliment the music as I felt it should have. Then again, that's just me... but I digress. I will be listening to Wobbler later today (specially the 2 you suggested) and will post comments soon thereafter. Thanks so much for the tips!! After your Gentle Giant ranking, I trust your judgement, and am excited to dive into Wobbler, vocals or not.
From Silence To Somewhere is magical. Vibes of a number of bands I love, but sound quite unique. Very Norwegian but they record in a very organic way and use some of the older analogue keys. I think you'll like it. Listen to From Silence To Somewhere first and then Dwellers Of The Deep... Echoes of Yes, Genesis and gentle giant, with a hint of The Doors! Very romantic but driven..
@@ProgAxia Will do!! Thanks so very much!!! As I've grown older, it's become harder and harder to discover new bands that I actually can get excited about. Nothing replaces hearing Genesis, Gentle Giant (and the like) for the first time! I keep searching, but I have to admit that most of the contemporary prog bands don't do much for me. Most are more Progressive Metal than "true" (70's) prog, or they are simply mimicking their influencers. I do like Riverside and Opeth, but some of it still can get a bit too 'metallic' for my taste. Oh, and if the vocalist starts "Growling"... DELETE! Maybe I'm just getting too old. I don't have the angst that I once had.... but as usual, I digress.
I have all their albums like yourself and I discovered the band around the time From Silence To Somewhere came out back in 2017 although I think it was their debut album Hinterland that attracted my attention more to the band. To be honest my favourite album is their second one Afterglow and that would be down to perhaps the Gryphon influence it has. I do think the band have come on though especially with their latest album I love all their albums. They are undoubtedly one of the rare bands today still making progrock sound as it did all those many moons ago and that is what I love about this band the most.
@@vincentstevens5048 Ah get ya.. There is another alternative www.discogs.com/ these are new and second hand albums. It can be a little hit and miss but the pricing may be better.
@@ProgAxia Yes, discogs is my go to for albums deleted worldwide. I've been able to get almost everything i've wanted from this great network. The shipping costs can be high though.
Can’t say enough about wobbler. One of those bands that changed my life. Criminally underrated even more so than gentle giant as they still exist
Love Wobbler! 🎶
Wobbler are a great find. I just bought Dwellers Of The Deep.. Not heard the others but will look at getting more after this 😁

Thanks for the comment Lee, it's quite difficult to chose between the albums as they are all really good.. 😎
I discovered Wobbler about 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoy them. Just can't get their stuff here in South Africa so I've had to download the albums.
Can yoy not purchase direct from the record co?
Hi Vincent if you go to www.karismarecords.no/artists/wobbler/ the record company ships worldwide 😎
@@ProgAxia i could but our exchange rate is so high that it becomes very expensive, especially when postal costs are included.
