That's a solid list Brandon! I currently own every single one with exception to CU. I sold CU in 2021 after their dividend increases really slowed down and they didn't fit my investing strategy any longer. I also love CPX, AQN for utilities, TRP for a pipeline because of its lower payout ratio and CTC.A as a consumer defensive high growth play. It is really hard to narrow it down to just 10 😁

Can’t go wrong with any of those blue chip plays Brandon. Only one I would add Is Canadian Pacific Railway. My dad worked for them back in the 80’s. In the last say ten years, the stock price has gone 5x and with the purchase of KCS, I think this will be a wonderful stock going forward. Thanks for this great Can div list.

Hi Brandon have you done any videos on GIC's how to purchase through Questrade what they are etc.... Guaranteed Investment Certificates (GICs) and term deposits are secured investments. This means that you get back the amount you invest at the end of your term. The key difference between a GIC and a term deposit is the length of the term. Term deposits generally have shorter terms than GICs Thanks much

Thanks Brandon! Love your videos! Quick question, What are your thoughts on just owning VDY instead of individual stocks? I currently have my entire portfolio in VEQT and am interested in DRIPing VDY as I think I'm going to come into enough cash to do so. I would continue to add to VEQT and allow VDY to DRIP for the next 20-30 years. I like the set it and forget it approach and also the mental satisfaction of seeing a monthly dividend. Is this foolish? Should I just stick to VEQT and call it a day? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

As 10 years dividends compounded at > 25%, and forward dividends are expected to grow by 18%, this dividend company have a lot of common sense in a dividend portfolio... like MSFT in US dividend portfolio since many years... You should not have only 3.5%++ yield with 2-3% growth... On top of this, you can see a good Capital gain over several years...

You just have to do amount invested times dividend yield. EG if a stock pays 4.5% 1000x .045=45 dollars a year. If you look up dividend investment calculators on google you can play with different numbers. high yield is nice but over time a stock that raises dividends more will do better. Depends on timeline.
