    Thanks for this. It's a great reminder that rhythm has to come first. Even one note played in an interesting rhythm can be good.

    Fantastic! Thanks for being an excellent teacher. i have just played and improvised on a Christian hymn called "Hiding in Thee" . I did not know how it happened; all I did was relax and play naturally. I played three new choruses in three different rhythms; I was shocked that they worked. Your clear guidance confirmed I was not doing something wrong. Thanks for the encouragement. I will always come back to listen to your clip for inspiration lest I forget.
