- Dutch soprano Julia Bronkhorst organized a special concert for World Peace Day at the Peace Palace in The Hague. It included the world première of Leo Samama's composition 'Ubuntu' on words by Nobel prize winning South-African bishop Desmond Tutu. Julia also sang Caroline Ansink's setting of Ingrid Jonker's poem 'Die Kind'. Perfomers here included Caroline Ansink (flute) and Peter Le Feber (keyboards).
There were also splendid choral performances of 'Goodness is stronger than evil' (likewise on words by Tutu) and the 'Circle song', performed by the choir 'Sining from the Heart' 9conducted by Johan Verdouw)
The concert concluded with a disarming performance of 'Somewhere over the rainbow', sun the Children's Choir of the Casimirschool (conducted by Maria Twist and Lenneke Lemire).
Also performing were Dieuwke Le Feber (contrabass), Esmee van Nieuwenhuizen (vocals in Love song) and Joost Le Feber (percussion)
