Yes, this was filmed in 1997. The ALP-46 locomotives were ordered in 1999 by New Jersey Transit and built by Bombardier starting in 2001.

Shoreline Railfan first ALP-45 was delivered 2012. First ALP-46A delivered 2010. First ALP-46 delivered late 2001 but most built 2002. Not sure of order dates though.
