      he's the best CFP coach out rn IMO, 2 ncg appearances, 1 ring

      I don't think xichigan will like that once he starts kicking xichigan butt. Once this year the NCAA comes down all their players that are is any good are going to leave.

    Shoutout Coach Day. These big jobs are such a pressure cooker, and through it all he's answered every question, and hasn't pointed any fingers. Seems like he's overthinking the Michigan game, but they did the only thing they could do after laying that egg, which was go back to work and win it all. Respect.

    • @coreybrock7161
      @coreybrock7161 10 дней назад +3

      Or they just simply lost. How about that? It’s not law that OSU wins every year just like when Michigan controlled the rivalry. Rivalries go back and forth and Michigan had great teams. That’s what happens.

    • @SC2point0
      @SC2point0 10 дней назад +3

      @coreybrock7161 Never said anything about it being law that OSU wins. You're right, the reality of competition and rivalries is that there are wins and losses, but watching that game, it was obvious that he and Coach Kelly could've approached it a different way offensively, and they admitted that afterwards.
      That's what I mean about overthinking it... if you lose, lose doing what you're good at. They looked like a completely different offense after that loss, and I would have loved to see that approach vs Michigan. But hey, props to the Wolverines and Coach Moore for doing what they do, and getting the win.

    • @coreybrock7161
      @coreybrock7161 10 дней назад +1

      @@SC2point0 You proved my point. You talk about Kelly, Day and what OSU didn't do. What about Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant who controlled the game? They're 1st round picks. Graham might go top 5 overall. Those two were as talented as anyone on the field and they dictated the game. Michigan's D-line was better than any line OSU faced on the playoff run. They were the difference in the game. Mullings played the best of any RB OSU faced in the playoffs. Again, everyone focuses on what OSU didn't do. Michigan had a lot to do with that. Not only that, they went on to do the same thing to Alabama without even more stars. Maybe Michigan had more talent than people thought and was a decent QB from being in the playoff themselves?

    • @michaelc3463
      @michaelc3463 10 дней назад +3

      @@coreybrock7161 he does seem to coach the michigan game differently than the rest. that needs to change.

    • @SC2point0
      @SC2point0 9 дней назад +1

      @coreybrock7161 I gave UM props for doing what they do and getting the W. Graham & Walker are studs, and running right at them like OSU decided to do for most of the game, was not the best thing to do, and that's my main point. That approach played right into Coach Martindale's hands, especially since he didn't even have Will Johnson, who is a stud himself.
      No disrespect to the Wolverine defense, but they gave up 20 ppg last year, and I'll always believe that loaded Buckeye offense should have been able to score 14 points, even with the 2 picks and 2 missed FGs. We obviously disagree on that, and that's cool. I do agree that UM was a QB away from having a way better season though. Gonna be tough to come up to the Big House and get a win next year.

    When you take the OSU job, you KNOW you MUST beat that team up north, full stop. Ryan Day knew this, just like John Cooper, Earl Bruce, Jim Tressel & Urban Meyer did. If you don't, you don't keep your job. It's not so much that he lost to them, it was HOW he did it. ANYONE who knows football can look at that game film and see that it was a terrible game plan. We didn't take advantage of the skillset advantages we had. Someone said, "it seems like OSU plays not to lose against UM...", and I 100% agree. Credit where it's due though. After that game, Coach Day took the reins off the stallions and let them run, and we all saw how that played out. Here's to hoping he remembers that lesson going forward, and continues to guide OSU Football in the right direction.

    Seriously... this was the most negative interview of a national champion head coach I've ever heard. Someone needs to tell Dan to zoom out when he's preparing his questions, it's like he knew he wanted to ask uncomfortable questions and lost perspective that this guy is in the best moment of his life and he's supposed to be celebrating.

    I'm one of the 80% who didn't think he should get fired after losing to Michigan. I always thought that he was the best coach who hasn't won a Natty. So I'm glad for him to get the idiots off his back

  • @michaelgillette6123

    Ryan Day is The Greatest coach of all time.His haters are idiots. Woody would have given anything for a record like this! There are more of us Buckeye fans that love Ryan Day than so-called ones that don't. Ryan Day is 70-10 wrap your brain around that sports fans. He would probably be 74-6 if Xichgan doesn't cheat and a no call against Marvin Harrison. I would add that because of one of those cheat games, The Ohio State Buckeyes were held out of the championship which made half of his team not show up for Mizzou. I would bet he wins that Natty too. That would probably be a 75-5 record. A missed field goal here a dropped pass there it would be even better. Someone with no integrity once said he woke up on third thinking he hit a triple. Ryan Day was robbed of 4 hits and just hit a grand slam.

    Look I was pissed as fuck and one the people who said to get Ryan out of there after that Michigan loss, I can admit it. But it pisses me off even more than losing to Michigan when fucking stupid ass fans do death threats. Like for fuck sakes it’s a fucking football game. But BIG CONGRATS to Ryan Day on winning it all. I can handle losing to Michigan when you just put it all out on field and remove guard rails from the team, which they clearly didn’t start doing until that Tennessee game. But regardless I am pumped up and glad we won it all and looking forward to what next year looks like.
