You are right, the 2.5L is an option for the RAV4’s. However, depending on year and trim of the vehicle, there are also 2 2.0L options for the vehicle.
You keep saying o-ring... Don't you mean crush washer? I could never tighten that oil filter cap by hand to 25N•m (18 ft.lbs.). I'm sure I would have to use an oil filter cap wrench attached to a ratchet.
Yes, the crush washer for the drain plug. I’d be careful attaching to a ratchet. It’s extremely easy to over-tighten with a ratchet. I ran my torque wrench on 18ft-lbs, once it was torqued I checked it by hand. I was still able to get about a quarter turn out of it even once torqued.
@@AllAmericanGarage Well our vehicle has the same design. I am unable to screw it on until it reaches 18 ft.lb. just with my bare hand. You must be a lot stronger than I am. And a torque wrench IS a ratchet, is it not?
For a correction here, the RAV4, RAV4 Hybrid and the NX300h have the 2.5 2AR-FE engine. The NX200t/300 has the 2.0T 8AR-FTS engine.
Another great video from the All American Garage. Thank you.
I believe this should be a 2.5 liter engine. That's what's in our 2009: RAV4.

In 2009 in the USA there was the 2.5 liter four cylinder and a V6 option.
