Yes, you're on to something! In ancient dharma, like Buddhism for example, there is Dharmakaya--the feminine aspect which is like a womb (samantabhadri) which is boundless empty space with infinite potential. Then the male aspect (samantrabhadra) comes along and 'penetrates' the womb---the male aspect is cognizance, intelligence, etc. known as sambhogakaya; together they have a child---reality, known as the nirmanakaya. So if we were dreaming, there would be the space in which the dream happens (feminine), the cognizance making the dream (masculine) and the appearance of the dream itself (child) all in perfect union within pure presence.
