I got it with blue dial. Wise is amazing value for $. Almost a dive/dress watch really. Tad shiny for my tastes, but I'm getting used to it.
That is an impressive looking watch. The presentation when you opened the case was amazing. The dial and handset steal the show for this one.
Wow. The dial is amazing. That fumee effect with the dial pattern. I'm a bonafide cheap watch guy. Truly. I would own this if it were on the used market. At the sale price, it's so close to my pricing cap... Pray for me. ;)
Edit: with the 20 discount as a first time buyer it's $740 Canadian... Plus duties of unknown amount. For what you get it's worth it, just outside of what I should spend. 2021 Bonus comes in next week... Let's see what's left over.
They have 50 USD off on watches 490 USD and above right now which means the AD8 qualifies for it. Hope that's close enough to your price range now

The fume on the red dial is gorgeous. Checked their website and for some reason the other colors lack the fume effect and don't look quite as nice IMO. The red dial is the one to go for.
Hi, I'm SO glad to see that you have both the hitman and the adamasus. Would be immensely grateful if you can check if the bracelet from the hitman fits on the adamascus. I adore the adamascus but a bracelet on a dive watch is also a must for me, they sell the hitman bracelets by themselves on their site.

It is a very beautiful watch and in fact this company's offerings have impressed me in the past. The Hitman is just a perfect one watch collection. Another thing that stands out on this Adamascus is the crystal. It's a box domed crystal without the slightest bit of milkiness around the edges. But the fact that it's made of 904L and fully polished at that suggests that you either need to baby the watch or live with it being covered in scratches soon. So the softness of 904 is too much of a trade-off for that brighter hue that may or may not be there.

Excellent, it's a dress watch while being a driver's watch at the same time.
Most of my diver watches are rather uncomfortable for an evening event regardless of how expensive they may be.
I too am impressed with the thinness and style of the case. The 904L is special. I don't mind the date because it's at 6 o'clock. Miyota 9015 is my favorite auto when the designers take advantage of it to make a thin watch. I'm not sure about the design of the dial and hands though, hmmm.
I might purchase this, I hate big fat chunky diving watches. This looks more refined. The myota 9015 is superb as well, had one for 6 years never missed a beat. Looks a bargain

The dial and handset design (especially the hour hand) mesh so well together that I can forgive the date window being there (much better at the 6 than the 3). I'll have to start saving for when (fingers crossed) they release a dateless version.

Wise deserves serious props for using 904L. That extra molybdenum makes a difference in corrosion resistance, which matters in a dive watch that might spend part of its life in saltwater. It’s ridiculous to me that so many Swiss dive watches above the $2000 price point still use plain old 316L. It shows how lazy some of those established watchmakers are, when a Thai micro/start-up can pull off a superior material perfectly. Anyway, end rant. The Adamascus is basically a dress watch with a bezel, it’s just lovely and elegant-looking.
It's a vintage/dressy dive watch, not "a dress watch with a bezel". You can totally dive with it, just don't go below 200m :))

Micro brands get it, lots of lume and lumed bezels! When will the Swiss 🇨🇭brands get on board? Most of my micro brands have ETA’s and I’d love to see even better movements from micro’s in the future!
@Underachieving Watch Collector tell me about it. Squale for instance, I love their design and finish. But mediocre lume. Oris, not great either. I'm sure the list goes on and on
Beautiful watch, but just for info, 904L has more nickel, which can provoke allergies to some people, so it's good to have glass case back and no metal bracelet.

But rolex are full 904 caseback right, and ss 904 bracelet?
I don't think the glass and leather were done cos it's 904
I don't think anyone is complaining about that with Rolex
316 approximately uses 10-14%. While 904 uses 23-28%, source “Ample Alloys”

Great review Chris. An absolutely amazing watch. I actually like the AD851B.C. Bronze...made with phosphor bronze. It is $610, and imo just gorgeous. All of them are beautiful watches. You can't go wrong with any you pick.
Wow, just checked that out and it's really nice. If it didn't tarnish I'd pick it up for sure. Really beautiful the way the red dial and strap play off that bright bronze.
I can't order. I've attempted with two different cards. Yes, they both have funds.
I've also attempted to contact customer service. So far, no luck.
Great looking watch and great packaging. Are Thai watches better than Chinese watches? I don't know. But, these Wise watches are priced higher for sure.

Would be interesting to know a bit more about the finishing and accuracy etc of the movement. I just picked up an Orient Kamasu for about a third of the price which i love. Granted this is likely better but would be interesting to understand that...

To be honest, I couldn't tell the difference between the 316L and the 904L from the video, but if it's less prone to corrosion, I guess that's good. :) The bezel action sounds great, and I like that dial.
904L corrosion is more brighter than 316L
The corrosion resistance only matters if you are doing things that might corroded your watch. I have 40 year old watches that haven't corroded so it really doesn't matter to me.
I can be rough in regards to scratches so I would prefer 316l just for that extra little bit of hardness. On a strictly dress watch that I would only wear occasionally I think the 904l could be a good option.
Love the design and they are coming up with some great watches. I wish they wouldn't put the model name under the brand name, not sure I want a watch that says Hitman on it
Some chance for a steel aftermatket bracelet?
904l is more corrosion resistant and shinier than 316l but also softer and less reistant to scratches.
Corrosion resistance makes no difference to me because i dont dive especially in salt water.
The 904l is fully polished also which makes it a fingerprint magnet vs a watch with a mix of brushed and polished finishing.
With those things in mind it strikes me as being a watch that is meant to be a great looker but it needs to be babied a bit so as not to have fingerprints and scratches.
Less of a tool watch and more to be admired.
Nothing wrong with that. I do really like it and it is a bargain at that price point.

Why would you use the watchbox on your desk (not everybody has a desk) thats for keeping the watch in when your wearing another watch, & most of us do not spend a lot of time spinning the bezel especially just to hear the sound.
Looks more like a MIDO that omega. The Hitman. The AD looks like any other watch in the world
I will not say they are bending the truth regarding 904L but when I decided to get a material check on some sample watches made in china ( this is made in china for sure ) the material analysis was less than perfect ...9 times I was sold 316 , or 904 stainless ..each time at a premium ..and each time it was classified as 304 stainless steel when checked by a material specialist company ..I won't say they are not telling the truth ...but the odds at the cost of it being 904L is a little on the low side . It's a nice piece for sure no matter what
