Stromae (from Maestro) real name Paul van Haver. His dad was killed in 94 in the rwandese geonocide. Stromae is born in Brussels. And he visited his dad a few times in his youth, I think. His dad went back to Rwanda when he was very young. He has a Belgian caucasian mother and has a half brother called Luc van Haver. He still has family in Rwanda. Apparabtly from what I've heard is that his mom didn't want to tell him why dad wasn't there for him. And I believe she never told him that his dad died until he was a little older. Stromae is the best. Check out La pluie with Stromae and Orelsan. That was a huge hit in 2018 in Belgium and france. They're besties and the song is great. A rap song.
