    It didn't even dawn on me that if I flipped my clamp meter over, I would get a wrong reading. I always assumed it was bidirectional reading. Thanks! I own three of those Kaiweets clamp meters. I love them; they just work! And did I mention the price! Win, win!

    The Kaiweets meter is a good price and Amazon has a 20 % off coupon for it. This was a good topic and I know I learned something from it. Have a good one.

    Got a Kyoritsu multimeter in the early 2000s when I was doing a lot of electrical (240v) for work. Just found it in my stash. Big bucks back then. $300 Aussie. I'll definitely check out your links tho. 2 is 1 & 1 is none! More than likely, I got that from you. Thanks 👍

    Great video! Thank you for helping people learn. I personally like my UNI-T better than the KAIWEETS. Just my preference.

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  Год назад +2

      Accuracy on the UNI-T is much higher. I use it on Auto mostly, but so is the RF interference on it so I carry both. The Kaiweets battery last probably 3X as long so either way I got one to cover my installs. Always have one so you can see if your MC4 and connections are making full power.

      LOL! We got them as a example of Amorphous. I have had solar on my first place in Baker Nevada since 2006. Bought lots from Solar Blvd and Uni-solar from 2005 to 2009. But always liked checking out Harbor Freight and other sources.

      John here's a question for you.
      If there were an EMP over America, wouldn't that take out the BMS in all of those lithium batteries? I know it can take out a lot more than that but would they be susceptible as well !??

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  Год назад +2

      Yes. This is why you buy BMS spares ruclips.net/video/DF6FE_4Iduc/видео.html and set them aside in a metal container in a metal building! My main reason to buy those cheap $15 ones I am using on the recycled cells in the shop. I got 20 of them in one buy when I found they will work with any battery to deliver safe output and charge in basic use.

  • @benkanobe7500
    @benkanobe7500 Год назад

    I use both DC ad AC clamp meters they are getting old but work well (Flukes). I get confused by positive and negative reading sometimes. During the first part in the shop is the first time you have confused me. I will have another cup of coffee and watch again. The on the roof stuff is just how I use mine (DC).

    Are the panels on your roof in parallel? I am going to check my 2 arrays today they are both wired in series.

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  Год назад +2

      With the runs so short, and the chance of hail damage I ran them all just as 22 volt parallel. 6X per controller. If you run them 2 or 3 Series, be sure your not where snow, or hail will cripple you.

    Off this videos topic, Do you recommend an upgraded 150w power inverter to replace the ford factory 150w one that come in the F-150 and F-250’s ?? Thanks

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  Год назад +1

      Yes, I would put a 600 watt or larger in them. As long as you have a safe, well cooled location. The Renogy 700 PS model amzn.to/3t3qIz8 is about the best for such a plan. Small enough to hide, big enough to get the home refrigerator running in a power outage.

    y'know I have 3 "amp meters" and I just can't get them to show a current! wth??? I sure appreciate this video. Imma gonna revisit them and see if I was doing something wrong but your video shows how blood simple these are when they work right. Could it be that I got 3 lemons in a row? One of them is a Kaiweets ht206d because I did a freeze-frame on your prior video and ordered one. I'll focus on that one first... will update... CHEERS!

    • @JOHNDANIEL1

      Put new good quality batteries in your meters, the ones from the factories on almost all china products from TV remotes to meters like these have been sent with poor quality cambodian made garbage batteries for the last few years.
