This video was very helpful. I'm surprised that the boox website does not have much information about this stylus or a manual that comes with it. I didn't realize the end was an eraser and the ribbed texture makes it very inviting to remove. I nearly lost the tiny spring when investigating the end of the stylus. Thanks for such a informative video.
Wow! Super interesting! Never knew it looks like that… thanks for making this video. Looks like it can be easily fixed if spoilt. Can you make a video testing the maximum number of bluetooth devices the Tab Ultra can pair at one time? Keyboard + mouse + headphone + game controller+ etc etc ?
Glad you like it! Sure I'll try to make a video on bluetooth peripherials, but game controller with e-ink tablets?! haha that is creative! I don't know if there is a limit but two or three (mouse, keyboard, and maby headphone?) should be ok.
Thanks for this video. Very handy. Does the eraser section feature a nib the same as the primary nib? Are they switchable (i.e. can it be used as a spare)?
@@EReaderChannel I replace a new nib but no function still... I teardown as your video, the insight is slightly differed from your orange cap pen 2 pro. I ask the local supplier, they tell me to buy a new one... I will try to ask Boox tomorrow... Thanks for your reply...
@@cwwangtw interesting. I have two Boox pen2pros and the inside structures are the same. Does it work if you only write with the infill without the pen shell?
I'd like to see someone teardown a Boox Note Air 2, many are coming to the end of their battery cycle count and Boox seems to have done all they can to stop anyone from replacing the battery, but where there is a will there's a way. I have an Note Air 2 Plus which has a full charge that only lasts a day, so am thinking about cracking the case.

Great, but how do you keep it from crapping out? I have had 2 of these stop working during normal use and they said they won't replace the second one.

I lost the small coil? Is there a way to find another one on the market to replace it??
Same here, now I know why the pen rubber stopped working right after I unscrewed it
Me too! Finally know why it stopped working, didn't notice the coil. Anyway to replace it?

Honestly I don’t know. I need to ask Onyx for such technical details
hi checked with Onyx staff. They are two types of nibs and are not switchable.
@@EReaderChannel thank you. The nib in the eraser seems redundant in that case.
@@kyberzyler without it the eraser won’t work.
@E Reader Channel hum, I thought I'd tried that. Turned pen upside down with the eraser sans nib installed and it still worked.
Helpful teardown. Thanks! My pen 2 pro now can not write, I tear it down and can not find out whats wrong, any sugestion? Thank in advance.
Try a replacement nib? Otherwise describe your situation and send to Boox, they usually will reply

haha not so many teardown videos of eink devices. If you need to replace your battery local electroincs store might be the best help
