Im really afraid that Lasha wont ever reach, let alone surpass his old peak numbers. This is pure conjecture but when i saw that Video of him injuring himself on 260 i immediatly remembered Salami injuring himself on 260 aswell and never being quite the same afterwards. I really hope im wrong though.
Yeah think he’s peaked too 😢 Sad because he had 500 in him at that time and played the long game knocking at it bit by bit, Bolt who was capable of sub 9.50 made the same mistake of not going all out, got injured 🤕 and was never the same
@@declanosullivan8749 I agree with Lasha not going all out earlier in his career.... But Bolt holding back in 100m? He may have pulled up early in a few but his record was all out.
I think we'll see if he'll be back at lifting records on the next year worlds, when he'll have had more than enough time to recover. In any case, he's already done above and beyond anyone and we should appreciate that, but yeah everyone wants to see 500 kg from him.
So that it’s more measurable across people, I wish it was normalized to post your box jump height as the difference between your hip height and the box.
20:10 That's actually on purpose. Westsiders doing it for powerlifting would push the handles UP, not down, to be able to sit back further with an upright posture, that's the whole point of it, but strongmen will often do the opposite and round quite a lot (while often not squatting as deep bc this technique does limit depth) to strengthen the upper back more. I always thought they were just doing it wrong but recently saw a coach (I think it actually was Luke's coach) explain the idea.
18:20 The reason he is squatting this heavy is bc he is specifically prepping for a PL meet. He loves strongman more than powerlifting and the only reason he's not diving back into it head on is bc he doesn't want to get back to his old bw and risk his health that much anymore. He wouldn't be competitive as a SHW untested PL unless he went back to his old bw, so in that case, he might as well just do and maybe dominate strongman.
The comments in K tape…dying! 😆😆😆😆😆 My wife who just got back from competing at IPF equipped worlds kindly reminded me that powerlifters are not allowed to wear K tape.
18:40 That's incorrect. The ratio is pretty much the same. This is 76% of his best bench and the other video was 78% of his best squat. His deadlift is actually at 88% and that's simply bc his grip was the limiting factor and slimmer hands mean better grip.
Notice how the bar on Lasha turns to his right side and how his right hip seems to lead the squat up on the snatch. Part of the injury results or was there before? How come you guys don't comment on Daire being in that rugby player training video holding the stick?
I think from what they were saying that the tape stretches less than the skin so when you flex a joint beyond a certain range, the tape pulls on the skin which gives an feedback to the nervous system that the joint is flexing too far. Then it's all up to your muscles to actually stop that excess range of motion
Thor just made another better and faster squat with 370kg: Also he mentioned he didnt do any, I mean any, weightlifting in those 2-3years when he trained boxing. He has stated this many times in his videos.
Hafthor was never a "good" bencher. I believe his best bench was around 230-250kg in the gym. Since almost no strongman train bench, basically all over head is their pressing work.

The Lasha camp clearly believes he hasn't peaked yet

Great analysis of 7’s!
Thanks lads, these videos are always a ray of sunshine on the otherwise bleak wasteland of my algorithm.
Can you guys review all 210+ kg snatches and 260+ kg cnjs? Would be a cool historical video.
Eric Bugenhagen killed me. I am deceased. Doomed to haunt the youtube comment section.
Death via mindset
Lmao

Fun fact, Thor was the third casting of the mountain
Thank you for pointing out the tape, most people dont have a good reason to use it
Im still proud of my 54 inch run up box jump but wow 68 inches from standing is in another universe.
Bought a programme yesterday without knowing about the sale🥲 still can't wait to get started!
Same lol, saved up some cash for it and bought rta and sika pull, don't mind it though just supporting the lads anyway

Would be amazing to see Lasha's maximum strength pause squat.

You guys should credit the social pages in the video or in the description. Also so we can find them easily
Are you guys still shipping out the pants/t-shirt orders? I haven't gotten a shipping notification yet on mine?

Lasha needs to address that left hand side rotating forward... Happens every lift in the snatch and c&J
I tried to find that russian lifter at 8:22 but with no luck. Anyone got his tag?
A while ago it was @winder89. His name is viktor kondratev
Has-Magomet Balaev - not unknown lifter)
Never fully understood kt tape as its stuck to your skin and your skin isn't connected to anything how does it help with musculature

Here's a breakdown on it (I'm a co-owner of this channel so feel free to ask questions) - ruclips.net/video/nxo7rD6WkiI/видео.html
