Time for history: In comics, when this group gets introduced, Tony Stark has become an evil variant of himself, and convinces these guys to agree that Hulk is too dangerous to keep on Earth. It happens after Secret Wars. They send Hulk out to unknown space but he crash lands elsewhere due to something knocking him off course. Hulk lands on a new planet with intelligent life, becomes a slave and gladiator until he starts to fight for a rebellion to get everyone free from the Red King. Once he wins, the ship he landed on plays a message by this tony Stark and the Illuminati then explodes, killing Hulks new wife, unborn child, and almost everyone on the planet excluding like 7 beings. They ALL return to Earth where Hulk puts a All Points Bulletin out for the whole world to hear, saying, " Turn over Dr Strange, Iron Man, Dr Richards and Professor Xavier. If not, everything dies." It's called World War Hulk. The new movie Thunderbolts coming out introduces Sentry, the only person who can and did in fact stop the Hulk in World War Hulk. I hope they bring this movie to life man.
I mean can you blame them tho?? They are probably casuals who don’t know about the wide marvel universe. The X-men and FF4 movies never mentioned avengers or each other. So if you aren’t really a big superhero nerd you probably wouldn’t put them together.
Hol up, when Charles pulls up, the subtitles say "X-Men '97 theme plays." Is that in new versions of the movie? Because X-Men '97 didn't come out until 2 years after this came out.
Because most of the reactors are going through the MCU for the first time and have no idea who he is. Although the Inhumans show is supposed to be set in the MCU, it was incredibly poorly received & is never referenced or talked about. Also they haven’t read the comics either which a good portion people including myself don’t usually do
same. it especially throws me off tho seeing how most of these reactors not knowing John Krasinski was the main fancast for Reed Richards for like a decade. so finally seeing him cast and then recast will just feel like normal to them or it'll be like nothing even happened
Let’s wait to see Pedro first before we call it terrible. I remember when “Heath Ledger is a terrible choice for Joker” was a thing. Or even Pattinson as Batman.
