I’m with you Frank I lost my wife in 2010. Was here in 2011-13 it was great, if you golf there’s lots of golf groups. I moved back to The Villages in June this year. I’m very shy and it’s hard for me socially but I’m working on it. When I start to get bad feeling down and being alone I just get in my golf cart and go for a long ride. I’m looking for a golf group because it’s not as good to golf alone. I don’t think you would have a problem here a lot of great people here. You can’t go wrong.

Ronnie, I’m sorry about your wife. I used to be shy when I was younger. It can be very painful. Not so much anymore. I’ve found when you’re single, you have to be assertive. Our society revolves around couples and families. In the real world, the single “guy” has to make the first move. I find that works well. Most of my friends are married. Good luck. Heck, I’d be your friend, but I don’t live anywhere near The Villages.

Toni my wife was the only girl I’ve ever been with when we met she taught me the facts of life. she was 13 I was 17 just graduated out of high school she told me she was going to be 16 I believe her when she told me she just turned 14 I thought I’m going to jail. I told her it’s okay. After I enlisted in the Marine Corps and my orders were to Vietnam I told if I make it back home with all my arms, legs, fingers and toes we will be married. I kept my word for the next 40 years. We couldn’t have children she had 3 major miscarriage the doctor told her if she got pregnant again she could lose her life so I took care of that. It’s hard at time because my sibling all had children and grandchildren and now at 74 without hurts a little. Sorry for the rambling but when there is know one to talk to it help. God Bless

I hate the electric bikes. Its not only that you can't hear them, its that the riders are usually going so much faster than they could under their own power.
As far as turnpike noise, it really depends on your location. I'm 4 streets away from the turnpike and can barely hear it. In another village, you can hear it 10 streets away. Don't be fooled, there is a ton of noise up north! You can hear the train and train whistles, more truck and traffic due to all the shopping, etc. Find a village and house you like and make sure you visit it to see the noise level for yourself.

BTW in Maine water/sewer bill $58 month, summer $65 due to garden/lawn watering. Trash incuded in property taxes. So that monthly bill you show is significant, however it also includes no snow or ice just sunshine😊

We have a family member who was injured by a bicycle rider. Our family member was standing in his front yard watering his lawn when a young man on a bicycle came riding down the city sidewalk. He lost control of his bike and ran into our family member knocking him to the ground. Our family member hit his head on his concrete driveway. His injuries included brain damage. At the age of 50 he was no longer able to work due to memory loss and physical weakness. So when I am walking on sidewalks I am always on the lookout for bikers. They do sneak up o a person. I agree that they should not be on sidewalks.

Great premier show last week 👍. Yes I once had two Washingtonian palms and I cut them down because they don't self clean and it gets costly the upkeep. What I replaced them with Christmas tree palms or sabal palms which these are self-cleaning meaning the branches fall off themselves. That's the most important thing and height when you're picking a Palm. At my prior home I did have rubellini's palms which they were my favorite but the birds love them so they can build their nests and keep the cats out. As far as your premiere shows times between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. . Also I'm really liking the variety of the show now. Keep up the good work

Another great MBM Jerry, Linda and Gizzy. Talking about the walkers on the trails. They SHOULD ALWAYS WALK FACING THE TRAFFIC.. We lived next to I-64 in Newport News, Va. Our noise problem was not the highway traffic but the fighter jets flying over our house at all times of the day and night, landing at Langley AFB. It didn't really bother us because it was the SOUND OF FREEDOM. Sometimes I think I could hit them with a golf ball using a wedge. Also on the lines of home improvement other than the ones mentioned, you have SPARR HARDWARE.. Corner of Signature rd. (Powell rd) and 44.❤

During our two rental week visits we noticed that when it rained people were getting rained on while dropping and zipping closed that is when we decided to get hard side GC. Both of our are hard side they are not hot in the summer as some think and they are nice in the cool winter days here. I noticed the water bill shown with “irrigation “ water, up here in the original we have potable water for our lawns. To keep water costs down I placed flat bottom trays in the lawn to collect the sprinkler water to measure. I adjusted each zone (5 zones) time to have the recommended 1/2 inch water for the cycle. I also installed a wireless rain sensor with 48 hour delay to keep from watering when not needed. Just an FYI, from Jake Weible (Ybull) LOL

Hello , its a good idea to change the plastic push pull knobs on all water appliances, they unlike conventional plumbing (copper)needs to be done by a plumber in most cases. We used a local plumber in the Villages, (kiley & sons) and they were about 50. Dollars each. The problem with the plastic push pull is sometimes people turn them and they can start leaking and that will force you to shut off your entire water system, until repaired. Not sure, but they may not be up to code any longer because of the quality of the product, but I don’t know that for sure.

I think the most commercials are for DRUGS. Which I really dislike. Watched your premiere the next day. Enjoyed the flyover. Thanks,Sue in Southern Delaware

Maytag still advertises on TV. Maybe try Simple Green on your blind. Lay them them in your bathtub and soak them. If you have a whirlpool tub run that while your soaking them. I like the roll up curtains that you have on your cart. Being 6 ft tall myself, I still hit my head on the roof when I play golf, getting in and out.

For the stain on your white curtain I would recommend trying peroxide. Just put it all over the stain and wait a few hours to see the result.

I had a queen palm and washintonian. Took them out and put in liqustrums. Beautiful dark green leaf tree . you can leave them natural or you can shape them. Not sure about cold weather though. It’s been cold here and they’ve been fine. I am north of Orlando.

Regarding the bike/walking path, the bell is good, but if you don't have one, it a common courtesy in my experience to call out "On your left!" when approaching a walker. Safer for the biker and the walker if they don't collide!

For a good Florida native species the cabbage palm is the state tree. It will grow anywhere in Florida. Not as pretty as a Royal Palm but at least they're native. Love the show. You guys work hard putting it together and the quality shows.

We have been to both of those places many times. Maringo cave more times than we can count. We always drove through both on our way to Patoka. You probably know the Hangers, the Broughtons, the Little's…

Linda, I get you on the stove - had the same kind & loved the upper oven since it was smaller and easier to heat...only used the lower one once for Thanksgiving - what a pain having to bend over so far to lift a hot 30 lb turkey! Jerry -you didn't show us how easy it was to get in & out of the cart with the sides down....

Live shows might be best at 8am, people are usually doing breakfast and could watch while eating or having coffee. Other than that any time before 7pm since most viewers are busy relaxing after dinner or are entertaining themselves with friends or alone. My guess is that maybe 1/2 of your viewers are retired so evening and weekends works best for those not retired yet and the others who are retired are probably good at any time you do it. So try catering to whatever the majority of your viewers are, retired or still working. I like the mornings myself during the week.
Like the Notre Dame stuff. I myself am a huge NDSU fan (North Dakota State Univ) we played UND (Univ North Dakota) this last Saturday and many people confuse UND up here with Notre Dame due to the abbreviation. Can't wait to move to The Villages this summer.

Try Lestoil on your blind. It has a strong smell that will go away with a rinse of soap and water. It worked for me on a girl’s dress that had 29 yr old food stains that totally disappeared and then looked brand new. It may take a few applications. Tip the bottle right on the stain and blot with clean cloth or paper towel. Good luck!
