  • This floating action camera mount works well for capturing footage of wind watersports such as windsurfing, kite boarding, wing foiling etc.
It is designed to be partially submerged which helps reduce the effect of small waves and chop created by the wind in flat water locations.
Made from 3/4" PVC pipe and a pool "noodle" float.
The 2lb weight attached to the bottom of the pole acts as a pendulum to help keep the pole vertical. The tether arm prevents the mount from spinning as well as reducing the effect of the waves.
A 2lb weight is sufficient as an anchor. The wind will push on the camera pole and keep tension on the anchor tether.

Yes, it's easy to make. It would be great for catching some winging footage.

Hi James. Thats exactly I was looking for. I'm gone give it a try. Filming me sailing my boat from the water perspective.
I have gopro 11's. Up to ehich wave height have you tried it succesfully? I'm filming in the baltic sea...

I have only used it in flat water with small swell...less than 50cm. But it kept stable for good video. Good luck with your build. I am sure you will make it work.

@@goldney thx for the info. Your overall design looks promissing. So I will try it - maybe with a floating anchor.

I was only thinking if this could be done the other day, My biggest issue would be other boaties passing by and picking it up and racing away with my gear. Might work on our lake though. Everyone would be love it. @JimmyLtdProductions
