@@fareshajjar1208There's original footage where the melody was improvised. Carolyn had already wrote the song. Since Aretha couldn't read music they clapped to get the melody.

I have to disagree. Jennifer's vocal are way too loud and powerful for Aretha. Aretha had a powerful voice, but not that powerful and not that loud. Aretha was just church & soul all wrapped up in one vs. Jennifer's voice. Powerful & Loud. I think that maybe Denetria Champ would have exumed Aretha vocally perfectly.

Exactly she's incredible because everyone knows that when a person does a biopic about a singer no one ever sings live they are always lip syncing to the artist voice playing. Jennifer didn't lip sync at all it's all her live which is so incredible and she didn't get enough respect for it in my opinion.

Aint no way is my absolute favourite song on this planet. I have never felt these roaring burst of emotions while I listen to this song. Queen Aretha was able to captivate the most pure form of singing through this and every other song she had. However, with this one particularly the vulnerability of the singer is really shining throughout the song and it just makes me feel like a human rather than a perfect being. Jhud did a great job with the song. She is a power house and a very talented singer
I love how she changed her sound to try and match closer to Aretha’s sound. You still hear the JHud in there but she did a great job

I watched this a few hours ago and I was very impressed indeed,it didn’t shy away from Aretha being groomed,having becoming a mother in her childhood,alcohol issues and being in an abusive relationship.That being said it didn’t tackle her father and his predatory ways with young girls AND getting one of them pregnant 😖
