oh my goodness!!! Thank you so so very much!! I can't tell you how invaluable this was & how it's going to save me money & take me to the next level!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Hi-I watched the 3 editing videos but I am still kind of lost. I want to learn to change stitches on appliques and in the hoop projects. Such as changing the stitching on an applique from a open "diamond" design to just plain satin stitch that will be wide enough to cover the raw edges of the applique material. Also i would like to be able to change a triple stitch on an In the Hoop say stuffed animal to a plain running stitch. Or delete portions so that I can take the head from an in the hoop doll and just subtract the body so as to make a head to attach to a small blanket. Where do i look? Do you have other tutorials?
Do these methods of editing purchased files not work for every purchased file? I have purchased a few pes designs. I would like to change the colors. I select the design, I go to my edit function, and the computer dings at me. It doesnt let me convert to stitches to block. Pretty much doesnt let me do anything. Somehow I manged to make the split stitches function to work but can't figure out how I did that. What purchased files are editable and which are not?
When I attempt to upload PES files into this software, each of my designs show up as white. I am unable to change the colors of each part of the design as it is grouped together all as one color. How can I separate the various elements in the design and assign independent colors?
ShellyWilliams130 When you say "upload" do you mean you are "opening" a file or "importing" it? When you say "grouped" does it have a blue dashed line around it or a black dashed line? If it has a black dashed line go to "Attributes" tab and select "convert to block". At that point it will have a blue dashed line around it which means it is grouped in block. Go to the edit tab click on "ungroup" on the pull down arrow. Once it is ungrouped you can go to the "sewing order" tab on the left side and click on the "show by color order" icon. Toggling that icon will break the pattern up in segments or group the colors. If this does not help, attach the example and send it to my kathleen@oleens.com email.
+Binar shawkat Do you mean PE Design? If so, it can not be downloaded. It must be purchased from an authorized Brother dealer. It comes with a security dongle and can not be used on more than one computer at a time.
Hello Mary, I am using version 9 and 10. It has been so long since I have used version 5 that I do not remember much about it. A lot of my lessons still apply to version 5 but the tools might be located some where else. Good luck.
Short simple easy to follow directions. Love it. Thank you so much. My questions have been answered.

Unfortunately they have now started selling designs that can not be edited with PED10. Oddly enough, these designs are mostly sold by Brother.

After you select your edit tool, and it shows all stitches, how do you select just the one word, as in peace? It seems to just give me a just a line.
At about 3:30 minuets I showed how to click and drag to select the stitches
