i'm fine with the event as it's set up to be. SoulSoBreezy did the math and you will only need 320 Tokens to collect all 13 sets, which can be acquired in roughly 5 weeks and still have extra. 100 Tokens will literally be obtainable on week 2, so first set will be 60 tokens, then 20 for the rest, should you be patient. that being said there will probably be more ways to earn tokens as we approach 2025, maybe even a gift from Greatfather Winter.

This sounds like a nightmare, i wish you could just play your way and get tokens. I want to pvp until my brain melts and pick up 4 T2 sets. Now i gotta basically find a guide to know how to obtain all i can every week, i dont know why they did this, it doesnt make them any more money.
I’m a bit confused about this, as I haven’t seen any info anywhere confirming or denying this: do alts help here? is it 40-65 tokens time-gated on a per week basis for the entirety of your warband or is it 40-65 tokens per character per week? Do alt armies help here or are the quests warband-bound, so if you complete a fill the bar weekly quest on a character, that quest is not repeatable on another character?
SoulSoBreezy has done the math and it's estimated around 70-ish Tokens obtainable per week PER Account, you cannot throw Alt Armies at it, they'll get Timewarped Badges as a reward instead.

Wish my server had more active open world horde pvpers, its dominated by Alliance, and has been for years. Bit annoying, but at least its just an option.

firstly there are discounts, 1st one you get drops the price of the other sets by 20 Tokens, 2nd discount comes when you acquire/spend 100 Tokens. out of the 10 suspected weeks that the event will be up, you only need about 5 weeks worth of Tokens, and that's to get ALL 13 sets. it's not in any way a requirement to get all 13, nor is it a requirement to play the entire length of the event. no catchup required, put in the effort or go without, simple.

I really think they should add catch up mechanic with the event too, for ppl who can't play weekly until the event ends
