First Day in Tibet

- After arriving in Lhasa, Tibet, our guide welcomed us in the traditional Tibetan way. From the airport, we went straight to a cozy restaurant for a Tibetan-style dinner. The atmosphere was lovely, with live music making the evening special. After dinner, we headed to our hotel and called it a night, ready for the next day.
The following morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with plenty of options. Afterward, we made our way to Potala Palace. Since it was the last day of the month, there was a long line, but eventually, we got inside. The palace was stunning, and we learned a lot about its history, including that it was built 1,300-1,400 years ago. We also visited the Dalai Lama’s residence, which was amazing to see. The palace, with its thousand rooms and beautiful views, left us impressed.
Later, we watched a traditional Tibetan dance performance, and my friend Shelby even joined in, which was fun to watch. We also tried a traditional breakfast before taking a walk around the city, enjoying the scenery. Lunch was delicious at a local restaurant, followed by a visit to Jokhang Temple, an important cultural site in Tibet. We learned about its history and explored the beautiful temple.
Our day ended with a visit to Lhasa’s oldest market, where we experienced something new. After returning to our hotel, we began planning more exciting things for the rest of our trip. Stay tuned for more adventures with me!

One slight correction it’s Potala Palace, Not Patola Palace, I see many of our Indian brothers who have visited Potala Place did this mistake. I hope you don’t mind… being a Tibetan I thought it’s my duty to share you the correct name of the Palace.

Actually, I am a cancer patient, I used to be a private tutor, but currently fully jobless and destitute, I have lost my parents, living alone.. I really need at least some help immediately, I know I shouldn't ask for support from strangers this way.. it feels awkward..but trust me I am extremely helpless..and hence asking... please help me a bit... Bro, you’re lucky, I am a Tibetan born and brought up in India. My parent and grand parents they fled Tibet in 1959 after Chinese forcefully Invasion of Tibet. They always dreamt of going back to Tibet but never happened. Now, my grand parents are no more passed away dreaming of going back to our homeland and my parents are getting older as time passes but I am hopeful that I might get opportunity to go back to our own country one day… I was born in India and raised in India with the help of people and Govt of India❤. Potala Palace used to be the winter palace of the Dalai Lamas. While this place could be just a visual attraction for many , it represents the hundreds of years of Tibetan history and its association with Tibetan Buddhism. No matter how much China tries to cover up, this place was bombed by its army. PLA tries to do the ethnic cleansing of Tibetan people. But Tibet will always belong to Tibetan people and to his holiness Dalai Lama. We as an Indian feel the pain of Tibetan. Just imagine you are not allowed to visit the place where your forefathers lived for centuries.
