That I think this song is to her mom. They have travelled the world together since she was 10 years old, many countries many different people, being a star at that age and the mom of the star with bunches of phony people around etc. Anyway I was shocked when you brought it up. I have liked listening to Daneliya since she was on AGT I call her the forgotten one from that show she did so great on that show but then you dont hear alot from her for long periods I dont know if it was because she was so young on there and she was concentrating more on school and just growing up more than anything music wise but I like her voice and her sound is defintely got more of a matured voice now with her signature style mixed in as well, Overall I like listening to her sing thanks for the ride as always your ride or die forever Eyyyyy Oooo

If you don't know, during the same period, Daneliya decided to do a 'remote' concert after COVID canced her Dallas (?) concert. She did about a dozen one-take, live songs that were all of high quality. I'm not trying to draw attention from her current work. I just thought it demonstrated that artists find a way.
Her actual first Originals of the last 4 songs is “Tied”. It’s very good song explaining how things been since her Voice Kids Song when she was 10 up to that song. U should check it out.
Like most eighteen year old girls, she’s got her feelings about her life. Unlike most, her formative years have been spent in pursuit of a career in music. Whether it was of her own free will, is a question she’s dealing with now. Because of the decisions made by her management team, such as song choice, and arrangements, she almost quit completely. She feels that some those decisions were made by people who had their own agenda, and weren’t necessarily looking after her as a kid in a soulless world. It wasn’t until she moved to the US that she felt like singing again. This time, she decided that she is going to make the decisions and rise or fall on her own. She signed with Sony Music. Her new music is focused, primarily, on her emergence as artist with creative control, versus following a path set by others. She sings as a person who’s been working for someone else, as someone else, and has just now seeing herself as her own artist. Throwing off the bonds of expectation, and working to satisfy herself, is the most important thing that she can do as an artist. She’s talented enough to see what works and what doesn’t, and will eventually find her stride.

She has 4 new songs including this one that she sets the music almost against the meaning of her lyrics. The other thing is you can enjoy them on several different levels. You can use her songs as background music, but in a way it is selling the music short. Each one of her new songs deals with aspects and painful growth areas where you find out not everyone who says they're looking out for you, are. The songs in order are: 'Tied', 'Cynical', 'It's Only Pain' and the one you just reacted to, 'Memories'. This one was a lyric video. Those videos are usually closely followed by a regular MV. Daneliya has always said she wants to sing Pop songs. I believe Daneliya's music will keep getting more pointed. She is a brilliant young woman and will have a lot to say. She is also drop-dead gorgeous which never hurts. If you get the chance to react to the first three, you won't be wasting your time. Here is my OPINION on this song. I don’t like it. The vocals are so muffled they HAVE to put captions on the screen because nobody can hear the words and what she is trying to say. Yea she has great vocals, but if I cannot understand what she is singing in English, without the help of captions, this is no good for most of us. Her older YT videos were much more clear and precise. This is too muddy. I have seen other young singers go down this same path and now not many follow those who used to be awesome singers. I have stopped following Daneliya over a year ago. One thing that really bothered me and how she was raised, was that she loved to the states at age 16 all on her own. Her parents still live in Kazakhstan. They are trusting a pretty 16 year old to live alone in the states???? Sorry hit that’s poor parenting. She did a live stream once where she answered fans questions and was cussing up a storm at 15. Many complained about her language. Later they edited out all the bad words her presents allowed her to say. They were ashamed. Daneliya wants to me like Miley Cyrus. Show as much skin as possible to get views. She statues that at 14 as well. Not yet fully developed but it pushed them puppies up and in to get some cleavage going and showing to her fans. Letting a great voice go to trashy looks.
