Been to Chiang Mai many times. Love the people and the culture there. Hang in there People of Chiang Mai, tourists will return to Chiang Mai soon. My friends and I just booked our flight to Thailand for end of Dec to Jan 2022. We are so very excited to visit Chiang Mai again...
I love Chiang Mai. Been with my girlfriend who I met and works in Sangkampeng for 7 years. I've not seen her for over 2 years. But I think a good gamble is to fly out at the end of Janurary for 90 days! Once I hold her in my arms the 2 years wait will be history and forgotten.🤗😘
I was in Chiang Mai back in 2004 with my wife a daughter. We went to the same temple as you. We also toured some of the manufacturing areas at the time. When into a woodshop where they were doing very detailed carvings and fantastic mother of pearl inlays. I was very impressed! Later we took an elephant trek into the jungle. At another place they showed us how they logged with elephants. The elephants were lifting huge trees with their tusks and trunks.
I lived in Chiang Mai in 2018 and 2019. It is very sad to see what has happened.
When Thailand returns to normal entry mode I will definitely consider vacation there. But not before it happens.

Been there to Chiang Mai in Jan 2018. Really sad to see the city now is missing the hustle and bustle. Hopefully this corona thing should get over and we should get back our old normal.

Thank you Louise. as Chiang Mai it’s pretty small, once you have a scooter you can live anywhere and just move around easily.
If I would have to pick an area I would still be around Nimman.

Just found your channel. I'll be doing the Phuket Sandbox the end of December, then looking for a place to live longer term. I'm not sure if I should just stay around Phuket for a while, or move on Hua Hin, Pattaya or Chiang Mai?
I don't want to live in a ghost town.

I am a little worried about my trip in January, we are planning to fly from Bangkok to Changmai, on the website of some local airlines I saw a warning that upon arrival in some provinces it is necessary to be in quarantine. Where can I get accurate information? Don't know what documents besides the vaccine are required for this flight?
Don’t worry at all. Domestic flights are free of any restrictions now
How was the night bazaar at night? I've been there several times during the early evening (as when you filmed) and it was also dead (pre covid). It generally picked up a lot after dark.

Just wondering if you can confirm on the hotel scam you mentioned yesterday, how I understand it is I will have one PCR test in the UK before I fly and my quarantine hotel will give me one more PCR test before I leave the Hotel, it’s all very confusing! I don’t need a PCR test when I land in Bangkok?
If you arrive in Bangkok you need to buy a package directly with a sha plus+ hotel which must include the pcr test and the transfer.
After you have this package don’t worry too much, because everything will be taken care of.

Good snorkeling is in Ya nui beach and kata. But also if you go to racha island.
Top accommodation are everywhere in Phuket

It should be at the check in at the departure and also at your arrival. But for some airlines might be different.
