mark and haechan are the ones who are in almost all of the comebacks
There's something special when Taeil, Taeyong, Doyoung, Mark, and Haechan steps into the booth. These five members has a strong mastery of their craft and knows exactly how to execute it. They're a producer's dream.
haechan is just so good at what he does? and tbh he contributes rly so much, dare i say the most in almost all their tracks? like not just his lines, but his backing vocals in everything. like hello?
they actual cut the uncut in the way song goes and hence why we didnt see the parts getting repeated like the chorus and all. how doyoung haechan and xiaojun all did high notes but only xiaojun and doyoung's was shown and i think they cut one of xiaojun and haechan's parts
yea :/ I don't really like it this way, I prefer the usual recording with one member showing all their parts, then they move on to the next member, not like this where they show the members according to the way the song goes, it cuts up a lot of the good stuff imo
LDN Noise has a couple videos showing how they put the sounds and singers’ recording together. It’s a series of theirs called Behind the Beat. These guys produced EXO’s Monster and Power, Baekhyun’s Ice Queen, Red Velvet’s Dumb Dumb, Shinee’s View and a lot more SM tracks!!

Mark shooting the basket is a long on-going jokes for always failed whenever he said he dedicated this shot for NCTzens. But finally he done it in this behind the scene video and it'll be a huge part of NCT history lol
Is it just me or does Mark and sometimes Doyoung gives off future producer vibes , their presence in the studio , how they keep trying to get that perfect their lines and they know exactly what they want , my faves for a reason !!
Mark definitely does. He is a perfectionist. Even Jaemin wanted to hear Mark's opinion too when in the recording studio. Doyoung has that ear for all vocal members voices.

about the hair dying thing i'm pretty sure it's a bit of both lmao. they'll dye their hair for comebacks but sometimes they just want to. johnny went back blonde recently and in a fan call event he said he did it for fun

I think one of the reasons that Mark is very carefully giving feedback on those particular lines is that those are the bits that he wrote. He had a particular sound in mind and he wanted to be able to hear the laugh (which he often puts in his songs) etc and wanted a light sound to the verse.
I also think that is Kenzie standing next to him, so cool to watch him confidently giving his thoughts as one of the writers and going for the sound he wants there.

Mark is a native English speaker who has no problem pronouncing the letter L; He said WAP.
Exactly!! I just listened to that part again. Mark knows how to say "walk". But because the words are similar in sound most people will miss it. I did too until I read these comments!! Only Mark Lee!!
Native English speakers don't pronounce the L in walk though (well, it heavily depends on accent, the L in walk usually affects the vowel sound). When Mark raps the k sound almost disappears although you can hear it in the back of his throat but he has to quickly move on to not interrupt the flow. The P/B sound we all hear is coming from next Korean line which starts 발을 (bareul)
But the beauty of lyrics and poetry (and an artist like Mark) is that you can intentionally put sounds like that together to play with the meaning. It could be intentional or not...

they do film first reactions to their music videos, you should check them out! and other units react to each other like 127 reacting to dream and vice versa
