Ugh. I’m so envious how well baby Lucian did at Spirit. We took my son for the first time last year when he was 15 months old and I specifically told his dad to keep him away from the animatronics so he wouldn’t get scared. Well of course I turn by back to look at a display and he stepped on the sensor of a clown that jumps out at you and it basically smacked my son in the face how close it jumped at him. We had to leave immediately because he wouldn’t stop screaming and shaking. Now every time we pass Halloween displays (especially clowns) he starts crying and shaking. A year later and he is still terrified. I am so heartbroken and angry about it. ☹️

I will tell you this story. When my now 18 year old nephew was like 5, my mom and brother took him to spirit. He approached the jumping spider. My mom told me, in her head she was thinking, i see where this is going. He stepped on the pad, that spider leaped up at him, he took off running and ran right into the closed door. Smack. To this day, it makes me giggle. I know I’m horrible.

@@scorpionic-night Yeah. It seems to be a trend to do the sequels 20+ years after the original. They did it with Hocus Pocus, the Ghostbusters movies (not including the all female version here), and now Beetlejuice.

It looks like spirits stuff is ever so slightly less gross-out themed than usual this year , I really hope that means they’re finally starting to stray away from the whole ugly/ gross = scary trend ! I want animatronics that are spooky scary but also look good as decor and aren’t an eyesore !
What grossed you out last year? This year is just a carnival theme.
@@shibachanx It’s not like theres a specific thing from last year or anything, it’s just a trend over the last decade or two that annoys me of western horror in general where the designers will make everything look aesthetically gross and slap generically ugly features on everything because they think it makes it more scary. So for example they’ll be designing a scary butcher but they can’t just do a normal one, they feel like it’s necessary to make him an ugly balding man with a beer belly and a skin condition and dirty sweat stained clothes for some reason. It annoys me because they make a good 80% of the scary decor like that and I don’t want my house decor to be ugly man with boils themed for the fall season lol. It feels a bit rude towards people who have those features irl too. I just feel like it’s not on theme for most decor either like if there’s a scary pirate character thats gross and has messed up nasty teeth and bad hygiene and diseases that kinda makes sense because he’s been at sea for a long time but a butcher has nothing to do with that like instead he should be covered in ridiculous amounts of blood to exaggerate that he’s been butchering a lot or like he could have all his hair shaved with pen markings on him and limbs missing like he is a spirit of a man who was butchered and now seeks vengeance or something. I don’t mind the ugly/ gross decor existing I just think it’s been a little over saturated and Id like to see more options for people who want scary decor that’s not ugly/gross themed.

You and Mr. Skeleton remind me of the morbid tradition of including decesced relatives in family photos. Because photos were expensive, and not easily available, sometimes the body would be quite far along the decomposing process when the pics were finally taken. Just me, Jade, hanging out with my long dead bestie Mr. S!

Hey Ghoul Hey !! Loved the jewelry and the Haunted Mansion things . Most all it was a joy and delight to see you hubby and your adorable little gremlin out having fun :) Lucian seemed to be having fun at SH . I missed out on a set of Snoopy Halloween sheets I wanted and a throw as well (dang ) but did scoop some Snoopy hand towels and a scardey cat throw that would almost fit my bed and was as so soft (on my chair in living room already lol) I will keep looking for the other things I wanted and make a few things too :) Take Care and see you next video :)
