yes !! you could do this as a neckline option ( ruclips.net/video/KDD1qy27Glk/видео.html ). The only difference I would do is pull the elastic less so that your neckline wont be as gathered as in the top from the video I linked. I hope that helps !!
You can ! If you use something with no stretch you’ll have to make the top less fitted because otherwise you won’t be able to take it on and off. But for a looser fit any lace would work !
It makes the top fit more snug and allows you to continue using the stretch of the T-shirt. You could do as strictly decorative but then you would lose the stretch of the t shirt and it would fit differently ! Hope that helps 🥰
I love my machine ! The heavy duty singer. I find that with this machine you would never really need to upgrade it. It’s great for all materials and has no problems with thick layers. It’s a medium price point. If you are just trying sewing out for the first time you could start with a more budget machine and then upgrade once you decide you love the hobby ! Hope that helps 🥰
Fashion designers need to have an education in textiles, patternmaking, and the business side of fashion design (like putting together product proposals and working with factories). You need to get a post-secondary education for that knowledge (college/university). However, before you do that, get connected with fashion designer community and those who have a social media account. Ask them how their experience has been after graduating, like working for companies or opening their own business, (were they making a livable wage?) and learn why many have left the fashion design industry after a few years. See if you can’t find a local one to shadow for a few days, doing ALL the stuff, not just the fun parts. Get a realistic idea of what the experience is like (even if you can only interview them) so that you’re not carrying an idealistic view of the profession. Speak to as many as you can to get a wide range of perspectives. School is expensive, so try to get connected NOW with that community to find out if this is the path for you. Lastly, while you’re in public school, take all the available subjects so that if you change your mind later, you will have the credits to switch to another field. You don’t want to be taking supplementary courses in college that you could have taken in high school for FREE. My friend didn’t take physics in high school because it wasn’t required and she regretted it in university when she was getting her physiotherapy degree.
I agree with @hotjanuary ! It’s a really good idea to learn about the industry and see what someone already doing the job could teach you ! I went to ESMOD and learned pattern drafting and some of the people in my class were surprised with the amount of math involved. I hope you follow your goal and love it !!!!
Hi ! It would be best to find something with stretch (so that you can get a tight fitting shirt). A stretchy lace would be great ! If you can’t find anything with stretch, you’d have to make it a little looser so that you could get it on and off ! Hope that helps 🥰
The zigzag stitch is important in this project to create the stretch and that stitch would be time consuming without a machine. But I’d love to think of a way to do it without ! I’ll try to make another video on it !
i am done paying 80 on depop for a cami because its "vintage". Ill make that shit myself

Hi! Can I do the same thing but with a long sleeve shirt? And ty for the tutorial!
Yes ! Absolutely. Just do the same elastic technique around the entire neckline. Thank you for watching 💕💕
how long does this take to makeeeee
You could definitely do it in under an hour !
is there a way to somehow keep the sleeves instead of the spaghetti straps :) (for people that are not comfortable showing their shoulders)

can i use normal lace and not elastic?

@@SohoSeamstress Thank you so much!
what would this type of elastic be called? i want to try find it at my local craft store
Picot elastic 😊
hello, I want to learn to make clothes but I do not know how to sew or hand stich. Do you know any good tutorials or do you have one? :)
Hi I might be late but Nutty Crafter is a good one.
is the elastic decorative or does it affect the fit of the shirt?
It makes the top fit more snug and allows you to continue using the stretch of the T-shirt. You could do as strictly decorative but then you would lose the stretch of the t shirt and it would fit differently ! Hope that helps 🥰
Where do u get your elastic from? This tank top is so cute 💕
I bought a bulk pack on ebay ! they were selling a various elastic lot and I have been working my way through it !
Hii! I'm looking to get a sewing machine to make super cute clothes like this, but i'm not too sure what type to get for it. Any recommendations?

Where did you get the little bow? I looked in hobby lobby and joanns fabric store but neither had any
I would check on eBay ! They always have a bunch of options and not necessarily all in bulk. Hope that helps !
The music sounds like Christmas Story on Christmas Day opening scene
Im 16 years old and i want to be a fashion designer but i dont know how to start like should i get i job or do it myself?

Where do you buy that pink elestic?
Most stores that sell notions will have it or you could try online (Amazon probably and eBay). Google picot elastic. I Hope that helps !
is 10mm picot edge elastic enough?
yes ! 10mm is a good width for the elastic !
Where did you get your elastic band?
I found the cheapest place to buy elastic was eBay. just search "picot elastic" Hope that helps !!
@@SohoSeamstress thanks!

Love the teaching the music is a little depressing
bro I thought u were gonna show how to make that white bow 😭
Sorry !! I bought it in a pack off eBay
I'm gonna try this but what can you use if you don't have a sewing machine?
If you have the patience you could hand sew - if you do this you'll still have to make sure to do a zigzag stitch ! Good luck !
you could also buy a hand sewing machine there usually cheaper!
What sewing machine is this??
I have a singer heavy duty 4432 and I love it !!
