Hey so since it seems u know a lot about drum kit accessories and the technology I have a question that I've been seeing alot online. It's about compatibility for pads, I have an alesis nitro mesh kit (dm7x) and was wondering is that particular is compatible with roland pads. I only have 1 bass and I want a double, I've seen alot of people saying that you cant have a double for the one I have cause the bass is too small and I believe that. Then I saw people saying online that the nitro kit was compatible with almost all other kits, but they didn't clarify which nitro mesh model you will need, so I'm assuming that mine would be compatable with roland. Just wanted to check if u would know cause my mom is asking what I want for Christmas, and a double bass is what I would like.
Roland pads are the best ones IMO, they are silent and the response is great. You’ll get the best results if you don’t mix brands. But, even on my kit, I’m using a Millenium one and an unbranded one as well. I wouldn’t suggest doing the same for something critical like a snare or a ride pad, but if you only need one extra crash just go for it, you are gonna spend a bit more over your settings but I think everything is gonna work anyway. Never tried a brain module from Alesis tho. I wouldn’t suggest you a Roland kick pad, they are too expensive and very unstable.
@@federicogattidrummer ok thx bro, I was thinking about Yamaha for a kick drum, that all I really want. Some suggest a kt10 I think that's what's it's called, it looks like it would do the job and Its only about $99. I'm on a tight budget so I appreciate u not recommending me expensive brands, really helps me for what I'm trying to look for.
@@awesome2beat815 Hey bro! Did you finally get the Yamaha kick drum? I have an Alesis Surge mesh e-kit but i didn't like the Alesis kick pad that came with the set (it is not small, it is bigger than the Nitro one and fits my Axis AL2 double pedal, but i didn't like the response and feel). So what i did was putting my Gibraltar kick practice pad instead that i already had, which is so much better and stable, and with the Footblaster triggers that i already had too, my problem was solved in an instant and everything works like a charm. But, the problem is that if you don't have the Footblasters then you'll have to buy them along with the Gibraltar kick practice pad which they will cost about 240-260 euros both in total and i see you were on a tight budget, but if you haven't purchased the Yamaha kick pad yet and you have more money now, you might consider this too as an option or solution. Cheers!!
@@marios-pantelispapapaulou8490 I did buy the Yamaha, but I needed to use the original kick that game with the Alesis to play double. The Yamaha was actually too small for both pedals. I set up both kicks and now it's working well. I'm currently trying to learn fast double bass, it is pretty challenging but I think I have gotten better, which is progress.
