    I have primarily been a medium since T1.
    However, there is something satisfying about putting a disk into the face of a capper as they come in on a route when playing HoF.

    To be completely honest. I loved the class system from T:A. It was - just nice. You always knew what you'd have to expect from a class and it made the game a little more expectable in a good way. It put up a boundary which you could overcome with ingenuity. You always knew which tools and weapons a class had so you could fight more tactical and mroe strategic. I think the class-less system from the original tribes games made you be able to do more. But I kinda liked the way you couldn't do everything. A heavy always had to use terrain when facing a soldier or raider. It was just nice to know that I am not the hottest stuff on the battlefield when playing the infiltrator against 2 soldiers. But luring them in and hitting them with a nice close Combat backstab and then deal with just one soldier was just satisfying. Good thought through gameplay was rewarded. I miss that. Thanks for listening to my rambling.

    Maybe not a popular opinion, but I would like loudouts just be called classes like in T:A with better tooltips to expain what each class does.

      well they got to make it overly confusing so that the fan boys can pretend they aren't just copying T:A assets and code

    Maybe it's just me, but I feel like putting lateral inheritance to zero would be better? Your shots would be way more consistent in my eyes.

    Whats so bad about invisibility if you can't use it while carrying the flag?

    • @AlsoGreth
      @AlsoGreth  11 месяцев назад +1

      One of the primary ways of stopping a flag cap is seeing the capper approach and dealing with that. The O players try to distract the moment the capper comes in.
      This is all about awareness and timing. The cloak pack stops half the skill of the defenders from mattering.
      That, coupled with very short return routes (Less than 5 seconds sometimes) makes stopping the capper before they grab essential.

    Does the game not have vertical inheritance?

    • @AlsoGreth
      @AlsoGreth  11 месяцев назад

      It does, I simplified with 'side to side' to get the general idea out without overcomplicating an already complicated mechanic.

      @@AlsoGreth The reason I asked is because game only has the option for lateral and forward. Does lateral control the vertical inheritance?

      @@memelordozai8553 Yes afaik. Disks definitely go up when I go up.

    The devs have their own loose vision of what they want to make. They claim to ask for feedback but don’t seem to be considering much of what is offered beyond balancing. Bigger teams.. engine cant support it…more deployable s; useful base…too much work……

    I want to see that Greth rant video full of bile about everything wrong with hirezs' take on tribes. Spoiler: There is a lot wrong with T3

      Nearly happened.
      I’ll be interesting to see many new player reactions and first impressions and see where our visions overlap.
