    Tractorpulled harvesters can have hoppers as well. check out grimmes SE series. One of the more common machines in scandinavia.

    An amazing piece of kit Olly! I operate our trailed Grimme Harvester and after 1 season there is still a lot more to learn! I can only imagine how long this took to learn and the running/ maintenance costs of one of these self propelled harvesters.

    Thanks Norfolk ! ....after the UK’s split from the EU it is good to see Britain producing it’s own food. I hope it continues and the Food supply industry grows. Consumers need to support the people in their own country that grow their own food. ...I will appreciate my chips a lot more now !

    I used to work for my uncle in N. Ireland for slave wages, potatoes picking and then sorting bagging and loading them onto lorries, called "walling" I think, I used to shovel 10.5 tons a day with another man, 21 tons in total, into a sorting machine aged 15, oh how times have changed.

    Do the potatos go straight to the shop or do they get cleaned and sorted first? Because we clean and sort the one we sell to market

    'Venezia'. Probably one of the most flavourless potatoes ever grown. Grown almost exclusively for weight (hence the supermarket theme) and not for flavour. In fact you'd probably get more flavour eating the plastic bag or cardboard box they're packed in. Avoid! Look for Maris Peer.......

  • @hanvanbrakel

    Wy aren’t the potatoes grown next to each other and in rows of four?

    • @hanvanbrakel
      @hanvanbrakel 5 лет назад

      @@upthereds4939 That can also be done with four rows eaven if they are close to eachoter. I think it is a waste of land.
