    Hi Mr Linnell. I’ve been watching this latest tutorial series and just wanted to say thank you! I’m finally getting back to doing leatherwork and it just melts any stress or worries away.     Hi Mr Linnell I have just started in leather work and find your videos very instructional and help full I have just tooled some leather coasters which look good only thing is when you put your cup on them the cup leaves a mark is there any finish you can recommend to stop this by the way I live in Yorkshire England Thankyou in advance

      Hello Mick, Vegetable tanned tooling leather will absorb liquids unless it has a coating on it that is water proof. Unfortunately, these finishes often leave the leather looking like it has a plastic coating. You can make it water resistant with oils or waxes. These will often darken the leather and only helps it resist the moisture.
